The only change I'd like to see is something similar to how in Football, if there is currently action the game will play on until the ref deems the match as over.

Pros:
Exciting combat is kept up,
Nerf to playing the clock,
Keeps to time limit, since most brawls will be over quick

Cons:
Subjective decision making by the referee,

So the 4 rules I would like to put forward for consideration:
"If the match timer runs out, however the Referee still deems the match as "in combat" (same rules as pausing), there is an additional 90 seconds of overtime before the match must end. This time can end prematurely if combat ends."

"If the match timer runs out, however the Referee still deems the match as "in close combat" (short range engagement in progress), the match plays on until combat ends."

"If the match timer runs out, however the Referee still deems the match as "in close combat" (short range engagement in progress), the match plays on with 1 minute of overtime, this can end prematurely if combat is deemed as finished."

"If the match timer runs out, and scores are drawn, however the Referee still deems the match as "in close combat" (short range engagement in progress), the match plays on until combat is deemed over, if the match is still at a tie by the end of combat, proceed with standard rules."

I hope one of these, or a combination will fix one of my only critiques with the timing system - that intense and interesting combat can be cut short by a timer.

It would have made a nice OVA series, since it's a single joke I don't feel it needed a whole series.. but whatever, I just wish people didn't make such a fuss over it.

Stop using "autism" and "retarded" as insults.  Jesus.  English is a wonderfully diverse and varied language.  You can find a word that isn't insulting to people with disabilities.

You would have to be the most sensitive of the sensitive to get offended over others being called an autist, honestly, if someone is acting as someone with autism would - it is an apt description, wouldn't you agree?

Personally, I'm against people insulting eachother all together, but arguing over something as silly as this is dumb.

Why can't we all just be friends ;_;

Opinions on best shows of this season so far?

Personally;

Tier 1: Phantom World, Dagashi Kashi, KonoSuba,
Tier 2: Erased, Grimgar, Dimension W,
Tier 3: Shoujo-tachi, Four Rhythm,

I don't think there is anything I've disliked, some shows have had a bad episode or 2, but as a whole - it's been a brilliant season for me.

What are your opinions?

Personally, I've always seen the issue as to why players don't stick around as a marketing thing. I feel that the majority of players pick the game up with friends to crew a ship together. Eventually 1-2 players get bored and leave leaving 2-3 players playing with randoms and getting stomped and then leaving as well. If the game had less of a focus on joining up with established friends there would be more player retention as people would join and become a part of an existing in game community.

This is of course all theory from what I've heard from new players who stopped playing, personal experience and looking at how the game is marketed and piecing some stuff together - I have no marketing training nor factual figures so take it as you will.
