I still think all carronade weapons are way too good. Not for component braking BUT FOR ARMOR BRAKING AND HEALTH AND THEN KILLING...

But thats not this thread is about.

The chute vent nerf does NOT make sense because it still does not combat a lockdown. What if 2 ships have carronades and they lock down each ship until their demise? Where is the friend there?
Drougue chute honestly still needs a buff to combat being taken out baloon wise because it does not keep the ship on level, and if it keeps itself on a certain speed going down, it is the easier target for lumberjack/Carronades to hit.   As a spire flier, with hwacha, i combated a blenderfish by not using drogue chute, to go faster down, and keep going down so the arc of the carronade does not reach me. Until my baloon as repaired to a decent ammount of health for me to use hydrogin, i bosted my self up enough for the hwacha to disable the carronade.

If you have someone good with the hadez gun, use that. But Get a mercury if you are up against a heavy weapon loaded ship instead.

Drop the carronade, you wont use that gun as often as you think.

The artemis can proove very usefull but up against ships like the pyramidion for some reason the artemis is just not good. Ide say get a mine launcher or a Medium flak for the extra fire power just incase. Or another hadez.

You can trifecta 2 hadez and the heavy flak making it more dangerous than mercuries but it is incredibly difficult to use.


Other than having a good loadout, it is the gunners that HAVE to hit. If you arent hitting then itl take a bit longer and you may get hurt.

Il wait for the next patch first, and then il come back with an answer. But for now, there arent too many options. Considering in a 2 v 2 game, but in a 3 v 3, team setups become alot more important.

As of me, i really like to cook my spire with a goldfish or a junker. Perhaps even a galleon if i ever get to play more galleon spire.  Because the more heay weapon fire power, the quicker the kills. In the upcoming patch, the spire will get a buff and have a more equal footing even though its stats are as equal as F***.

Much like the spire, the pyra has 3 guns. 2 spots, and a ram. Ive started running  Flak/Gat/Hwacha spire and it works very well. But even with the fire power of the hwacha it still has trouble assisting the gat on taking down the hull armor, and based on some rumors, the hwacha does not disable guns as it used to.

But what Smollet said is something the spire needs... like alot! But i still think the spire needs an acceleration boost. Dont want to waste moonshine just for that. It takes its time to adjust to its position or get to a certain location just because of how floaty it can get.

I play spire like... Constantly and ive noticed that good mindgames with its vertical meneuvering, and back and forward approach gives it an advantage, but it is STILL very difficult, i will either end up dead killing them, or hurt killing them. It really needs its speed adjusted to get quicker faster.

The spire holds 3 guns, and think of this. 3 guns facing forward, you can Gat Mort, Merc Flak, Something else with something else. But what heavy weapon comodates with it? Lumberjack and carronade work very well. Maybe because carronade is a bit too good now but lets take this outside of the guns.


Every ship has the same ammount of health and rebuild time on the baloon. The baloons are universal.  I honestly think there needs a change here. Look at the mobula, it is incredibly difficult to get it up when the enemy team has flachette weapons, it is a MUST for a drougue chute.

It takes exactly the same ammount of damage on a squids baloon as it is for a Galleons baloon.

And ships with their special baloons are also the exact same. Adding, and decreasing health can be problematic because of how it takes alot to repair a baloon. There has to be some special effect for repairing the ballon like, it jumps up or not (Depends on if the captain holds up or down) just so it can get back on its feet.

2 carronade  goldfishes can individualy hold the opposing ships until their deaths.

TLDR;
-Pyra has 3 weapons like the spire
-Look up at what smollet said about what the spire may need
-Even with strong excessive gameplay with spire, it can be very difficult.
-I refuse to take out ships with carronade or Lumberjack...
-Baloons being universal is getting dodgy

Yeah, this should also be applied to other cps because they are incredibly Squid happy, like anglien riders Resource Race.

If an enemy is on your point, it stops giving points. Meaning you can have 1 ship defending each point (3 ships) which leaves 2 other points for the taking by the enemy team but they arent racking points as fast as the opposites. Making it so that the enemy ships will have to attack as a group to capture a new point (or not).

Basically, making ships like the spire, galleon and the mobula more viable in resource race for defence sake.

On a spire Merc/gat/Heavy flak which is pure glass cannon build.   While close range Flak/gat/Hwacha. Sort of glass cannon, im allowed to jump out of helm and shoot the flak when their hull is down which is fun.

The drogue chute needs a 5 or 3 second charge, so many times it has been prooved useless. It further makes the pilot holding the helm for too much.

Not many people use it for that reason.


About hydrogin, it is actually balanced but the baloon degrades as the health rreaches 50%. The skills are very self defeating at that matter, as soon as a pilot uses Hydro, it must be repaired.

The spire needs  an acceleration boost. I mean it is the slowest ship, atleast make it versitile on its slim nature. Make it go quicker from different speeds. Basically, make it get quicker to its maximum speed.

Is my post correct? or?

Spire useless?

So many players just dont know how to use the god damn ship. Its my favourite and i wreck other people with it, even if it is pyramidions.
But with a crew that does not know what they are doing. Its just a huge handicap.

I cannot play a proper spire without my crew from my clan. Public play with the spire just does not let itself be easy because of how trigger happy and non roleplaying the players usually are.
Like a gunner gunning the mine launcher and not the hwacha.

Or seeing him take the mercury and not the heavy flak.

We definitely need a new heavy weapon, the standard 4 is a bit boring and during the beta i think there were just 3. but the heavy weapons play a big role so dont underestimate a heavy weapon slot.

Most poeple are looking at a giant gattling gun, or anticipating a giant gattling gun.

Personally, i want a cannon, just a plane old cannon built to destroy armor. Fires like the grenade launcher. One shot. But takes atleast 2 consecutive hits to take down an avreage hull armor. Cant aim much down but can aim up. Left and right aims is that of the mercury.

Or something that takes out hull armor because quite frankly, the 4 heavy weapons are allready good for the few damage types. Lumberjack being the hybrid of Hwacha and Twin Carronade. While the heavy flak needs its counterpart. And that is armor percing, but i dont want it to be a good killer. The lumberjack that was mostly made to be a long range disabler kills alot quicker than the twin carronade because of the Braking damage. It takes hull health down too quickly.

WICH SURELY THEY WILL PATCH SOME WAY OR ANOTHER! RIGHT? HINT HINT!

But yeah, either a cannon,

Or a short ranged Tesla Coil type weapon.

Ive been playing with my clan buds, we use heavy flak quite often and... we have no issue at all.

To be honest, i have seen better use of the flak with new players because they are forced to use other than lesmok to hit.

In an orginized play Lochnagar can be a devestating thing, the only ship that can survive a hit from that is the galleon.

I disagree because it never was authentic, and was always annoying in terms of gameplay.

The bullets never did hurt your own ship, then how was it authentic?

Regarding the gameplay i always thought it was annoying. The only ship that has this is the pyra. And that must be fixed because next to none other ships have this.
The spire had this where you had the mine on slot 2 (Upper right) and try to shoot it infront of the spire, and high, you would hit either the cord or the front ram.

Ships with good mobility can control itself easier in such maps. Maybe hail storm weather that makes movement within the ship slower, turning speed slower and blinding when on a distance. And sand storms. Much like the dust clouds we have now but moves across the entire map every 5 min and would last for 1 min every time a storm approaches. Yeah i would love waether.
