There's plenty of ships that with the right loadout can keep an opponent totally helpless, I do the same with my Carronade-Banshee Squid.
The Manticore is a nice weapon, but hardly OP. You just need to adjust your strategy

I was using a double artemis pyramidion setup (with mortar and carronade on the side) and got nowhere in my long range attacks on that Galleon. The whole match was ridiculous. Easily destroyed, huh?

Remove one of the Artemis and instead put a Mercury in its place.
There, I fixed your ship.

No, seriously if you have an even remotely competent gunner by the time you get at medim range the Galleon won't have a single weapon still functioning and from there you can basically keep him locked rebuilding components while you damage the Hull. It's a tried and tested build.

And double Manticore on one broadside is not that strong at all, whenever I see an opponent going with that loadout I think to myself "easy points", because that means no Flak cannon that kills me in 2 hits when the armor goes down, no Lumberjack to keep my ship pernanently at ground level and no Lochnagar Hellhound to strip my armor in one hit.
Sure if I make a mistake they might be able to disable my ship but it's hardly one of the better setups for the Galleon. One Manticore is enough.

so you have a ship and 3 trolls spawn in and kick you off - wacha gonna do?

I'll report them and then find another game in less then a minute.
That said, I haven't seen many trolls in this game.

I outmaneuvered a level 7 piloted Squid with a Galleon, that poor thing just could't get away from my left broadside.
Also, I've 1-hit-killed a full hull and full armor Spire with a single ram from my Galleon. Not so hard but it was sooo satisfying.

Can some one explain the logic of making the mines/mine balloons take more than one hit to detonate? Trying to clear an old mine field with direct fire seems like it is more difficult than it should be. Was there a problem with people air bursting mines near enemy ships being OP?
Good question.
Beside the hitbox of mines seem a bit strange, they are not easy to hit.

Why don't you play another game mode? Like Crazy King, where moving is the whole point?
Why is TDM, arguably the least interesting kind of game mode to spectate, the one played competitively?

How about medium piercing weapons? We have none, I would hope the priority is bringing new medium weapons on the table instead of adding even more light weapons, which I feel are already varied enough.
At the moment preparing a loadout for the Galleon isn't nearly as fun as any other ship loadout because of limited options in the medium weapons department.

That's just my opinion on the matter of course...

From my experience the Mobula seems to fall a lot faster then other ships, I use the lumberjack a lot so I get to see ships fall down all the time...

General Discussion / Cosmetic ship customization

So this has probably been asked already, but a quick forum search didn't yield anything.
Are there any projets to implement cosmetic items for the airships? Like custom fins, banners, flags, baloon decals and so on and so forth?
We already have an in-game store so I think this would be a really cool way for us to customize our airships and for Muse to make some extra money, I know I would pay and pay well for a custom figurehead on the prow of my ship!
