The Pit / Would you rather...? (Game)

So I know this is rather childish but we're all little ones at heart so why not. This is a very simple game where people ask a general pick this or that question and whomever wants to can answer it. Answers dont have to be very long but explanations are normally wanted from most. Also when you answer a questions then it's your turn! You can ask anything really but I would request that we stay away from any sexual or in general heated topics as that can stall the game and just ruin the fun. Also we don't want this turning into an argument either! Keeping that in mind I'll go ahead and start this off:

Would you rather be trapped on an island for a year (starting with nothing) or be jailed for 5?

General Discussion / Very large Ping Spikes

I've tried playing a couple matches over the past few days and I've noticed quite the rollercoaster going on in terms of my ping. It will fluctuate anywhere from 64 to 428 in any game no matter what region. Also once or twice a minute the ships will all stop moving and while I can move around the ship and shoot guns (not hit anything), the ship will suddenly teleport forward and I'll be left with a 5-15 second gap where nothing happened. Does this have something to do with the recent DDOS attack? Also it seems specific to GoI because in gmod, CSS, and TF2 I've only been seeing around 30-70 ping with the highest being around 150 in eastern EU/Asia servers.

I threw together a couple things at 12am last night after messing around with the dev app with a group of people. Now I won't say exactly what happened but you are all going to find it quite funny/interesting. Anyway, this is a video that is a work in progress showing off what happened that glorious night. Not really any of the real good footage yet but this is just really a buildup for what is to come.

The Lounge / MLP Hate?

Now I understand that they aren't the most liked people on the planet, but last night I simply mentioned something about ponies and half the lobby burst into immediate hate with one going as far as to calling them "sick perverts". While I don't quite classify myself as a "brony", I do enjoy the show's values and much of the community's creations that branch out from it. Now I'm just wondering if this type of thought was just a random happening or is this really what most people think? I'll be honest I almost wanted to quit that match because of the things that were being said.

The Lounge / Sudden influx of Players? From where?

Maybe it's just me not paying attention but I remember a few days ago we had about 80-100 players waiting in lobby on an average night. Last night I saw upwards of 350+! Was it just E3 that brought in all of these new players or is there another event that happened recently?

Feedback and Suggestions / Easy Captain Switching

Now I'm not sure if this has been recommended before or not, but I feel like an easy way to switch the role of captain around would be nice. I've just noticed that sometimes on more populated servers, it can be a little hard and awkward trying to move the captain seat around between two people. Sometimes, when someone leaves the spot a random immediately takes it leaving the person no place to go as he cant return to his ship. Perhaps like a small transfer captain button next to people's names on your ship would be great. Click to switch your two spots and you're done.
