Feedback and Suggestions / Huge New Ship And Weapon Suggestion Topic

This Topic contains my old weapon and ship suggestions, i have remade their stats and placed them in same topic. (the stats that i have made don't really matter since they are only there to give direction)

(Ship and weapon models have been made with Cinema 4D [during 30d trial time] models aren't the best and could use polishing [and background] but that is hard to change now)




Swan

Swan is huge ship that has heavy armor and firepower but lacks in maneuvering.
Swan is bigger than longer than galleon but also slim too.

It has 2 heavy guns aimed to front of the ship, but since they are back of the ship it gives them advantage in long range weapons if enemy gets too close since arming time is less big deal, how ever this reduces effective range of close range heavy weapons.

under deck has 4 light guns, aimed at port and starboard. Under deck also has hull and heavy engine placed near the ladder that leads to upper deck.
Upper deck has the heavy guns and 2 turning and 1 heavy engine close to each other, balloon component is located near the captain, front of the ship where also the helm is.

Ship has 3 balloons, biggest is attached to upper deck and smaller ones are attached to wings. Wing balloons are danger of being hit by flechette weapons while the upper deck balloon is more protected by the armor.

Crew has to communicate when using this ship, since captain has poor visibility back of the ship (he can still see under the ship) and since guns are located in different sections of the ship both under and upper deck has to have 1 engineer. Gunner has to run between the decks.

Swan can effectively ram dealing huge amount of damage but with its low turning speed its not best plan.

Turtle

Turtle is unique ship in its design, it has 2 armor panels attached to port and starboard witch are detachable.
However its very slow ship thanks to this.

Turtle has 3 separate armors, armor plates have 800 armor and 400 health while the ship has 550 armor and 600 health. When armor plate gets destroyed the ship will detach it and gain 25% more speed. without both armors the ship gains 50% more speed. however its also more weaker after this.

Turtles hull and balloon components are located opposite sides of the ship and have balloon "window" separating them. Armor plates components are located near the plates, middle of the 2 heavy guns.

Ship has 4 heavy guns and 2 light guns, heavys are covering port and starboard while light guns protect front and back of the ship.

Light engines are close to heavy guns while heavy engine is under the helm.

Turtle is easy ship to use but has low speed and many components to take care of, fortunately the armor plates stop the damage to enter the ships armor or hull, unless the enemy is hitting the ship from behind, under, front or above.

Turtle is larger than junker but has same length.

Bridge

Bridge is light ship which original model was literary made out of bridge.

it has 1 heavy gun in the front and 3 side guns, making it good support ship or jack-of-all-trades.

However it has poor armor and health but it is also small ship so it is hard to hit.

- mass 100.000kg
- max speed 40.0 m/s
- max turn speed 12 deg/s

Reaper

Reaper is very long ship that has stunning speed for its size and very powerful weaponry.
Its speed and power comes in cost of health and armor having poor 400 armor and 800 health for its size it wont stay in battles that are corners or enemy swarming areas.

It excels in hit and run tactics and sniping.

it is longer than galleon but also has less height.

Stats:

- Hull 800
- Armor 400
- mass 150.000kg
- max speed 41.0 m/s
- max turn speed 9 deg/s
- acceleration speed 4 m/s²

- 1 light engines
- 2 heavy engines
- 4 light guns
- 1 heavy gun

Dragonfly

Dragonfly has huge balloon that protects the most of the ship, the balloon has more resistance to damage than any other balloon making it effective even against flechette weapons.

This upside has downside of low armor, making ship easier to destroy with rams or piercing weapons.

Dragonflys guns are can shoot targets in ever direction, so long as weapons of choice have enough rotation angle.
dragon fly can shoot max 3 guns on side target, front and back guns can focus on 2 guns on same target.

Dragonfly is also excellent at ramming.

- Armor 350
- mass 75.000kg
- max speed 35 m/s
- max turn speed 8 deg/s
- acceleration speed 6 m/s²

- 2 light engines
- 2 heavy engines
- 6 light guns
- 0 heavy guns
- 1 balloon (has 60% more resistance to all damage)



Sai

Sai is considered by many captains as beefier pyramidion, which it is for the most part.
Its heavy ship that used to serve as transportation ship for supplies and civilians, however its was repurposed as military vanguard that takes most of the hits before rest of the army can get to the battle.

Sai has higher armor and health compared to its little brother, how ever it has even more slower turning speed and more bigger target. Also its weaponry has not growth much.

unlike in pyramidion, the sais hull is on upper deck and balloon is under deck. also components are more further away from each other, making manticore less of threat, but it also makes repairing harder.   

Side guns are heavy guns and front guns are light guns, however light guns have less uses for the close range weapons since ship front part is so long.

Balloon is protected by the ship since the balloon is under the ship.
Sai is bigger longer than galleon, but also has less height.

Sai is (just like pyramidion) excellent at ramming, if it can hit.

Ikazuchi is old time sea warship looking ship that has 6 light guns, making it very good at high fire power.

- acceleration speed 2.5 m/s²

- 2 light engines
- 1 heavy engines
- 6 light guns

Kalskel Light Cannon

Kalskel is light gun that is designed to destroy ships most important components. Hull and Armor.

Its not good gun alone and is better when it has other Kalskel companing them.

Damage: 25 piercing

Area of Effect: 30 explosion

Radius: 3m

Rate of Fire: 3

Spread: Medium

Max Range: 1000m

Muzzle speed: 300m/s

Nailer

Nailer is effective balloon destroyer, but it excels at destroying components.

Damage: 10 flechette

Area of Effect: 10 chatter

Spread: pinpoint accuracy

Max Range: 500m

Muzzle speed: 450m/s

Effective Vs: balloon, components

Reload speed: 7s

Zhunon Crossbow

Stats:

Damage: 70 Piercing

Area of Effect: 100 Flechette

Radius: 2m

Rate of Fire: 0

Spread: pinpoint accuracy

Max Range: Infinite (after 650m the bolt will start to fall)

Muzzle speed: 200m/s

Effective Vs: balloon, armor

Reload speed: 6s

Rounds: 1





Heavy Pierce Cannon

Heavy cannon used to destroy ships armor.

Stats:

Damage: 100 Piercing

Area of Effect: 150 chatter

Radius: 2m

Rate of Fire: 22 shots per min

Spread: pinpoint accuracy

Max Range: 1900m

Muzzle speed: 750m/s

Effective Vs: armor, hull

Reload speed: 6s

Rounds: 2

Has same turn radius as heavy flack




Light And Heavy Shark Torpedo Launcher

Shark torpedo lauchers shoot torpedos that have 200m long heatseeking ability, they will have high turning speed so they can hit ships easier, if enemy shoots flare and its on radius of 200m the torpedos will fly to it instead of enemy if its closer target.

Enemies can shoot torpedos.

Damage: 50 fire

Area of Effect: 50 chatter  (25 chatter heavy)

Radius: 2m

Rate of Fire: 500

Spread: light: low spread, Heavy: high spread

Max Range: 1500m

Muzzle speed: 250m/s

Effective Vs: hull, balloon, components.

Reload speed: 6s (heavy 7s)

Rounds: 4 (light) 16 (heavy)



Heavy Torpedo Launcher

Heavy torpedo launcher launches chargeable controllable torpedos. torpedos have 200 Health and are destroable by enemies.

Charge takes 10sec. (you can shoot when you want during charge to shoot half charged or lower)

Stats:

Damage: 100 fire  (charged 200) (charged shot will push ships)

Area of Effect: 100 chatter (charged 300)

Radius: 3m (charged 7)

Rate of Fire: 22 shots per min

Spread: pinpoint accuracy

Max Range: 1400m

Muzzle speed: 300m/s (max charged speed 600m/s)

Effective Vs: hull, balloon, components

Reload speed: 10s

Light Tesla Beam and Tesla Cannon 

Tesla weapons have ability to spread their damage to other components upon impact and can hit more targets more further than fire.

Stats


Armor: 700

Health: 800

Balloon health: 1200

max speed: 29.0 m/s

max turn speed: 8 deg/s

Mass: 500,000 kg

Acceleration: 0.8 m/s²

Weapons:

Has 2 light front guns and 1 heavy gun on port and starboard. Total 4 guns.

 
Engines:

Has 2 turning engines on upper deck and 2 heavy engines underdeck


Other information

Sai is upgraded pyramidion that originaly served as cargo ship.
Sai is very heavy hitter and fast. Its balloon is under the under deck and its component is located underdeck. Hull component is located middle of the engines and helm on upper deck.


Tactics

Ship is mainly used for ramming but sniping and support works well with this ship too.
Mainly 1 engineer should be on top deck and 1 on underdeck, gunner should mainly stay in front guns.
Capten has perfect view from helm but cant see under the ship.
Side heavy guns are mainly for defence or sniping.
Ship is bit longer than galleon so its easy target, but it can defend it self quite well.

Advantages

+Ship is easy to use for ramming.
+Heavy armor and good health
+4 weapons
+good speed
+balloon is hard to hit

Disadvantages

-easy target
-slow turning
-back of the ship is easy target

Projectile Speed:   450 m/s   (charged shot has speed 900 m/s)

Fire speed:       1s delay per shots (Full charge shoots 2 shot same time)

Range:             1000m  (charged shot range is 1600m)

Horizontal Angles:   20  deg Left, 20 deg Right

Other information:

This weapon has charge up mechanic. Charge uses magazine and full charge takes 8sec.
(full charge uses all ammo in mag but also shoots all ammo in the mag)
Weapon can shoot middle of the charging (which of course deals bit less damage than full charge) 
Full charge shot will push enemy ship.

Torpedo has blu aura and blu flames and of course blu explosion.
Torpedo is pretty big and highly visible.
Its is possible to shoot the torpedo before it hits the target. The torpedo has 50hp and takes extra damage from shatter type of damage.

Other information:

This weapon has charge up mechanic. Without charge, shot does 20 piercing damage and does not have burst, charging to full damage takes 10s and it depletes the mag. Full damage deals 150 piercing damage and 150 fire damage.
After shooting full charged shot, gun has 1s delay before reloading.

user can shoot before gun has fully charged, un fully charged deals damage multiplied with  ammo used to charge.
(4 ammo used = total 80 piercing, 80 fire damage, speed is 850m/s, range is 1350m [damage gets extra power from full charge])   
(charging with 1 ammo has burst damage with it but does not change speed or range. [works even if gun has 5 ammo left and you only charge 1 ammo, this affects to fire speed])

Ammo types that increase ammo capacity also increase charge time but also increase damage. 

Full charge and reload time (and delay) make total 16 seconds before firing other charged shot.

This has been propably already been talked (since there has been concept art about tesla gun)

[and the fact that would it work with the universe of GoI]


My idea about Electric damage is simple.

When gun that has Electric damage hits ship the damage will chain to closest  components. (which would mean that it always hits armor/hull)

Torpedo's are bigger than missiles and canon shots and are more visible, they can also be shot with any gun before they reach their target.

Bridge




Stats:

(stats are just ideas to give idea of the ship personality)

Armor: 500

Health: 700

Balloon health: 1200

max speed: 27,5 m/s

max turn speed:  15 deg/s

Mass: 300,000  kg

Weapons:

Ship has 1 front gun and 3 port guns. (all light)

Engines:
Ship has 2 turning engines, 1 on port and 1 on starboard. Heavy engine is middle back of the ship.

Other information

Ship made of old broken bridges...
Midle of the ship is hull component and starboard of the ship is balloon balloon component.

Tactics

Front gun is good spot for merc, javelin or flame thrower.
Port guns are excellent for both long range attacks and close range attacks or both.
Engineers have easy time in the ship since ship doesn't have obstacles and components aren't scattered.
Although  the ship is bit long (same length as goldfish) witch makes running from port to front bit slower.


Advantages

+heavy armed
+fast turning speed
+easy to repair


Disadvantages

- bit slow(still faster than junker)
- low armor
- easy target
- balloon is exposed

light zhunon Crossbow

(simple idea from a simple man)




Stats

Direct Damage:    50 Pearsing

Second Damage:     50 Flechette

Effective Vs:    Balloon, Armor

Reload Speed:      3 s

Magazine Size:    1

Projectile Speed:    350 m/s²

Range:    infinite (backfired by quickly descending arrows)

Size:    Light

Horizontal Angles:    30 deg Left; 30 deg Right

Vertical Angles:    50 deg Up, 30 deg Down

Other information

Light sized crossbow (possibly design by arashi) Is made for medium rainge encounters. Its also used for long rainges but not often since arrows descend fast and are slower than canon shots. Its still quite deadly and silent making it pierse thru enemy ships armor without them noticing anything. Its arrows are easy to made with low cost of materials and many ships are armed with it cause of its cheapness. Its also used to hunt skywhales.

Kalskel light canon

Direct Damage:    20-30 Piersing

Burst Damage:    20-30 Explosive

Burst Radius:    1,5 meters

Effective Vs:    Armor, Hull

Rate of Fire:    2,5 Bullets/s

Reload Speed:      5,5s

Magazine Size:    8

Projectile Speed:    500 m/s²

Range:    1700 meters

Size:    Light

Horizontal Angles:    60 deg Left; 60 deg Right

Vertical Angles:    35 deg Up; 35 deg Down

(rotation speed of this gun is slow [as slow as artimus]. Also the projectile goes down faster than mercury shots so it reguires leaning shots.)

Other information

Made to be Supressive gun. Its not meant to destroy enemy ships alone and is meant to be harraser (good front gun for junker or side or back gun for galleon.)
Its still good canon if it used with pack of 2-5.

(experemental idea: gun has more health than other light guns due the armor: having hp middle of hevy and light guns)

Stats:

(stats are just ideas to give idea of the ship personality)

Armor: 900

Health: 900

Balloon health: 1200

max speed: 33.5 m/s

max turn speed: 5.0 deg/s

Mass: 350.000 kg

Acceleration: 1 m/s²

Weapons:
 6 Light guns. 3 on port and starboard.

Engines: Heavy engine is behind the helm on underdeck.
Underdeck has 2 light engines.

Other information

Hull is on underdeck and is midle of the light/turning engines.
Balloon component is on upper deck on front of the ship.
Ship is not big but its long so it can be in trouble in small maps.
(ship design is influensed by old asian ships)


Tactics


Ramming with this ship is good idea since if you ram and manage to turn your ship, you can pulver ships in no time.
Ship is weak to front and back attacks since those sides dont have guns. Also balloon is exposed and weak to lumberjacks and shotguns.
Capten can easily repear the heavy engine since its close to helm. Engineers and gunners should stay on guns since they protect broadsides.

Advantages

+durable
+fast and heavy
+great for ramming
+deadly broadsides

Disadvantages

-slow turning
-blind sides infront and behind
-exposed balloon

Armor: 400

Health: 400

Balloon health: Ship has 2 (3) balloons and both have 600 hp. if other balloon gets destroyed the ship cant accelerate but wont go down either.

max speed: 50 m/s

max turn speed: 9 deg/s

Mass: 40.000 kg

Acceleration: 11 m/s²

Weapons: 1 heavy gun mounted on front. and 4 light guns. 1 on upper deck and 1 under deck on port and starbord side.


Engines: Has 2 hevy engines on upper deck and 1 light engine on under deck.


Other information


Steer is under deck and near it are side guns. Ladder attaches under and upper deck, near the under deck part of ladder is hull component.
Balloon components are located front and back of the upper deck.



Tactics


This ship should be used in destroy and run tackticks, since its fast but big.
1 engineer should always stay on top deck and other engineer under deck. Gunner should mainly use upper deck guns.


Advantages


+ Fastest ship
+ Slim profile ( very hard to hit with rockets, bullets, mortals)
+ dual balloon
+ has 5 guns


Disadvantages


- Slow turning speed
- its slim ship but still bit big, making hit and run tackticks harder on maps that have many corridors
- not usefull for ramming
- easy to destroy with ramming
- low armor and health

Acceleration: 11 m/s²

Weapons: 6 Light guns. 3 on port and starboard, capable of shooting every direction.


Engines: Has 2 heavy engines on under deck and 2 light engines on upper deck.


Other information

Steer is front of the ship and hull component is near the steer. Balloon component is located near the upper deck light engines. Upper deck and under deck are attached with ladder.


Tactics


Old ship desigh that was re-used for war. Ship has powerfull engines and wery well made balloon. Front guns cant hit targets from front or left/right. Back guns are maid for shooting targets behind or left/right. Crew should always be ready on guns since enemy cant hide from dragonflys fury. The front of the balloon is made for ramming. The weakness of the ship is balloon. enemys can shoot this ship down with lumberjuck pretty effectively, or with caronade. The balloon still protects the ship from armor pearsing damage since the balloon is 65% of the ship.

Advantages

+ Balloon has biggest health of all ships
+ fast
+ 6 light guns
+ no blind sides
+ Usefull for ramming

Disadvantages

- Low armor and health
- Huge balloon
- easy target

This is my second ship idea (first being the Swan)

THE TURTLE





Stats:


Armor: Has 3 diferend armor sections: Ship armor, port and starbord armors. ship armor is 550 and port and starbord armors are 800.

Health: Ship hull health is 800 and side armors health is 400. If armor plate is destoyed, it will detach from the ship and ship will get 25% more speed. If Both armors are destoyed, ship will get 50% more speed.



Balloon health: 800

max speed: 25 m/s

max turn speed: 7 deg/s

Mass: 250,000 kg

Acceleration: 6,5 m/s²

Weapons: Has 4 heavy guns and 2 light guns , port and starboard have 2. Front and back have 1 light gun


Engines: Has 2 light engines and 1 heavy engine. Heavy engine is back of the ship and light engines are near the armor plates.



Other information


Balloon component is near the front gun and hull component is near the hevy engine.
Armor plates have their own components, middle the heavy guns.


Tactics

Front gun is good spot for sniper weapons and side weapons are good for close rainge weapons.
Crew has easy time to move between guns and components, only gun that is slow to reach is back gun.
Middle of the ship is spot where crew can see the balloon, its also place where lumberjack can hit.

Advantages

+ Ship has no blind sides.
+ capten can see almost every direction.
+ Very heavy armored. (550+800+800=2150)
+ fast acceleration speed.
+ not so big ship, less easier target.
+ has 6 guns.


Disadvantages


- Very slow ship (slower than spire)
- Weak balloon.
- small target but easy to catch.
- Ship has very good armor but ship main armor is low and can be damaged from front and back.
- if armor plate(s) is destroyed it wont block damage and damage will go to ship main armor/health.
- Armor plates health is low.



(the armor plate idea is maybe hard to make and implement to the game so its longshot idea)
