I actually really love this idea!

Imagine if we got one week of the cogs tournament to all dress up as factions and have the community vote on who should be who :D!

I can't wait to see this idea develop more! I'd love to help out any way I can also

#Salute for the great idea!

Gameplay / Re: Achievement system flaw

First of all I don't know why you're so concerned with the achievements.

They're designed so people who want to aim for them and claim cosmetic rewards or just a higher title in game.

I also enjoy the fact that they "FORCE" me as you would say to do things I usually wouldn't ever use or do; Granted that it may put myself and my team at a disadvantage when I have to rebuild X parts in y seconds of destruction as a gunner but it's long term goal is to "train" and "educate" players in what high level or even competitive play can be like and that's why I"m confused in why you're angry about this?

If you're top the type to learn or try new things then simply don't do the achievements? Nobody is forcing you to do them although the level progression is tied in together with the achievements it's basically a quick buffer for most players. Example being If I see a level 11 Pilot I can be dam sure he knows what he is doing and won't have any problems, just like having a level 7+ gunner I can be sure he knows what ammo to bring with him for each gun to be useful as well as knowing how to shoot each gun.

That's how I view the achievements in this game compared to other games; the view being that it's an extended tutorial in a sense that it makes you use combinations of ammo/tools/guns and tactics you normally wouldn't. :D

Ah, so in general there is no need to worry that in 6 months there will be no one to play with ^^.

I really don't even see this game in 2 years having nobody to play with; What we have here is a community of players who all Enjoy or dare I say LOVE! The current game; Myself including in the Love part.

But what I'm trying to get at is that this game is still being updated and continuously improving itself (Adventure Mode) Is the next example. To myself somebody who greatly enjoys the whole Concept of being an actual crew on a ship instead of being the ship it's fun. Granted I still play other games but are you going to tell me that you play one game and ONLY one game at a time and don't get bored?

I have a healthy cycle of games I enjoy to play for the simple reason I don't get burned out or bored of the game. GoI is a great game to jump on and just fly with :P I also love the music :D!

Sorry if that seemed kind of rant-ish; that's just my personal opinion on this matter :)

I only have one ship named.

The ship is my Goldfish and it's called "Deadman's Hope"

The reasoning behind the name is simple; I can't pilot to save my life, and myself and crew usually die really fast :D

Hello Everybody O/!!!!!

I am one of your newest CA's Love/Loz/Jihad (falconeer reference) and I am glad to be of service to the community! Now I read somewhere that somebody wanted us to make a Pledge when we get inducted so here I go giving this a shot.

"I LovexLazil, Pledge to educate and teach all of our players; New and Old, but not really the old. I'll be setting up streams for basic tutorials on the game during times when they are requested whilst having fun, teaching people and having a horrible stream whilst doing so!"

I'm not good saying pledges but I am an Australian and will usually be active during GMT+10 5-10pm; Apart from that I'll see you in the forums or most likely in the skies!

Honestly fear as much as you like; I personally don't see the lack of actual gunners as a bad thing.

I find that although gunners are a third and class not welcomed most ships anymore due to the majority of light guns can be easily maned with heavy or lesmock ammo (depending on the gun).
A good gunner is hard to find and although a engineer can be a great gunner and a gunner can be a horrible engineer at best it is slightly biased and we're getting slowly cut out overtime.

But that's the risk of taking a gunner on board your ship myself primarily I love the Loch ammo and it's great I can bring Lesmock and Charged with me as well to not always destroy my guns. The gunner is the most weapon/ shooting flexible class and that's how I believe muse designed it.

Pilot/Engineer/Gunner are perfectly fine the way they are; but a solution would be to give gunners higher accurcy/recoil/something per level they gain. You can also do the same for engineers and pilots example being engineers do point .25 extra rebuild/ 5 repair per level. Pilot tool's do less damage per level etc etc etc.

I don't see the point in saying that the gunner class is underused and underplayed. I personally LOVE the gunner class right now what I HATE about playing a gunner is most captains who don't know me (so nearly every non falconeer) will ask me to go engineer and when I reply no they assume I'm a bad player/sportsman when I'm only playing the class I believe I play best and have the most fun with :3.

Moral of the story; Learn to switch it up with your guns so people want you to be a gunner <3

Hey Swallow,

Is there a specific place I need to apply for volunteering to be a caster for Season 2 Cogs?
