Feedback and Suggestions / Re: 50 Players in Game
« on: December 10, 2015, 07:51:02 am »
Hiding the number won't change the fact, that there are only 50 players in the game at that time. People will probably notice is anyway (long search wait, playing with the same people, etc.) and "smarter" ones will find the number in no time at all (steamcharts, anyone?). I believe it is just fair for player to know how many players are in the game and to act accordingly, whatever that means for him/her/it*.

Instead let's think about why people leave so quickly after sales and try solving that problem. I bet many of us already have given 'some' feedback and we're sure as hell to give some more if needed.

*on the internet no one knows you're a dog
Quote everything.
On why people leave, besides the missing of the brain or the concept of teamwork required by this game, I will give my opinion.
Stacked matches
I know newbies could be irritating and many of you like to play with (and not against) your friends, but this thing actually kills the game because there is too much gap between experienced players and new players. Sometimes there isn't even the option because there are too few people online and sometimes you just want a relaxing match, I know, but I think that's frustrating for new players. Only way to resolve this is being helpful with new players (there are some who listen) and spread the high level players if the lobby is too unbalanced. I include myself in this, even though I usually try to not leave low level crews or already lost games (I do when it's like the fourth in a row, charity has his limits  :P)
HWACHA

Old game
Face it. It's been out for years, games nowdays lasts months at best. Unless they are MMORPG or MMOFPS, but that's just because you don't need brain, you just have to farm 22h a day or just camp&kill.

What could be done in MY opinion? Just an idea who comes into my mind.

Produce new maps (not reuse old ones), themes, clothing (that without saying ships and guns because I suppose they are busy with the co-op, and those things need to be balanced). Workshop could be a great help if only material could get approved faster. Constant new material is something that keeps the game alive, more than paying a youtuber that will just bring a boom of 400 new (stupid) players that will just fill the game with monkeys and discourage the smart one because too much kids. Those 400 will also leave the game in few months. I understand the money, but it isn't a solution. We've seen it with the teaching tournament.
Put space invaders or snake in lobbies lol

*Allocates reactor power from life support to shields*
Hem... sir... I'm not arguing, but... what's the point in keeping the ship intact if we're all dead?

Why move this conversation to the pit? We're all absolutely serious. No engines and MOAR LIONGUN™ PLZ!11!!1!!

The Pit / Are the engines really necessary?
« on: September 21, 2015, 05:41:09 am »
There seems to be a generation of players, which seems to be the one grown in the last year, who consider the engines as something optional, like the range finder.
Maybe there was a boy scouts sale somewhere I didn't know of, because they all like to set up a tent and camp somewhere. "Eventually they will come to us", that's what both teams are thinking while the hours goes by.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not writing this out of rage (spawn-killing those guys in the enemy home is one of the most satisfactory thing for me); I don't even find that illogical 'cause... you know... a flying airships game! Who wouldn't want to stay still in one place staring at beautiful clouds?
Some of you may object that piloting and outmaneuver the enemy could be much more entertaining for anyone, even for the crew, but... EXCUSE ME?! This isn't star wars, we're flying zeppelins, duh!
Others may say that this game isn't a Flying Turret Simulator, and pretend that adjust the fighting tactic according to the enemy behavior is the soul of any team/co-op game, as well as the proof you're a good strategist/captain. Again, you people don't even know what you're talking about. Isn't camping a strategy? Works for everyone, except high level players but that's because they are pro. Maybe doesn't work even with coordinated teams, but that's just because the ally sucks.
So.. the point of all this post is an awesome suggestion! Why not make the engines a tool the captain can bring, along with kerosene, parachute and such? That's the smartest thing because without them the ship has:
- less component to repair;
- less volume the enemy can hit;
- less weight for hydrogen;
- less noise (statistics says that main engineers on pyramidions have more than 63% of probability of becoming deaf before hitting 40 years old).
Think about it. At least you can make the main engine as a tool, and leave the turning ones.

y u keep ignoring my posts?!

I really don't care about items, teams, points, badge and so on, but I like to play with random people and/or be helpful.
Since I play on different times of the day and I won't be reliable as a partner, can I sign up alone and match up with any teacher that is online at the moment? No need about point and blah blah.
Also can I join novice matches/lobby alone as spectator?

But there is a scramble symbol and written something like "Scramble ON"...
You're using logic, that's your error. We're talking about average players here, I've seen people rebuild the baloon with the buff hammer...

Feedback and Suggestions / Rematch?
« on: May 09, 2015, 09:46:38 am »
I think a lot of new players don't click on rematch (when they lose) because they think it will be another match with the same teams. So maybe write under rematch "teams will be scrumbled".

I agree with Schwalbe on the teacher status. Something player can see just looking at your name like "community ambassador", so they can ask you question even ouside the teaching matches.
Otherwise, with a level 45 and the attitude to teach others, most of the time you'll be just a show off.
One way to do this could be create a teachers clan (that would make easier to know which teacher is online), but I understand that some of us don't want to leave their clan and this may not be an option.

2) Is there a specific time in which this event will occour, or it's something teachers can do whenever they're online?

I like to play with new players (love the random of each match  :D), and I like to teach them the basics, if they're willing to listen.
I'd like to be a teacher, but I have questions, here we go:

1) lebtr?
2) Is there a specific time in which this event will occour, or it's something teachers can do whenever they're online?
3) I remember something about flamethrowers being forbidden in novice matches, am I remembering correctly or just immagine things?

Hum... I can't see it in the patch notes: did you fix the problems of getting stuck everywhere on the ships?
