Just dropping in to say hello~  I'm glad to be a part of the team!

In-game name & class listed on the left, & for other members, I'm listed as Moonlit in the Steam Community group.

I'm looking forward to getting a chance to fly with you all, & I'll do my best to keep us afloat!

Alright~ it's not much, but I was finally able to get a small donation together.  I certainly cant wait to see the game & how it evolves from all this!

4
I'd like to hold out with the belief that a nice investor will come along at the last minute and donate enough to hit all of the stretch goals but......

I actually ~just~ got all of my bills and everything else for the month paid off, so I should hopefully be able to put in my money within the next week or two (need my next paycheck for it).

I know Massively had recently run another article to point out the Kickstarter updates, um.....oh....BIG SUGGESTION!  Recently, Rev3Games (Adam Sessler & co.) had been running interviews & a few other review-esque spots online/on TV apps for a particular indie title that released on Steam recently.  These pieces single-handedly got me wanting to try the game out.

Might I suggest Muse giving a poke to Rev3Games (if they have already, I did not notice it)?  That would certainly draw more eyes to Guns of Icarus Online, especially since they loved the ~other~ co-op indie experience so much.

Saw the notice on Facebook the other day that the KS goal was hit.....I'm still eye-balling that $65 CE package.  I had no doubt that $100k would happen, so I'm crossing my fingers that the stretch goals are hit too.  It's pretty inspiring to see such a high-quality game from a small company like Muse have so much success.  Absolutely looking forward to Adventure~!

That is in fact what I do.....doesn't really bother me at all~

It's looking more & more like I just don't have it within my budget to pass some funding over to you guys.    :(

Even if I cant throw $10,000......$65 you guys' way, I at least mentioned to Massively this morning that you guys were at PAX East.  This is the article that just went up a bit ago as a result:

^^ Hopefully that will at least boost awareness about the Kickstarter campaign~

If I end up being unable to afford one of the gift tiers, I'll at least try to sneak $5 or $10 in before the campaign ends.

Ugh.....I'm seriously stressing out.  I didn't figure that it was going to start in like.....the next 24 hours or something.

Guns of Icarus Online is $5

Guns of Icarus is $1.24

Now is a great time to grab copies of both and get the special hat, maybe hand a few extra copies out to your friends!  I picked up a copy of the first one since I have not yet gotten a chance to try it.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Quick Join Sabotage?
« on: March 20, 2013, 10:37:58 pm »
Wow, I've never seen you guys more unified, hahaha.  Hey, if a common issue can bring you guys closer, who am I to ruin the party.  :D

Ok, as of next week, we'll do 1 thing first, which is to stop midmatch join for quick join.  That will help with the expectation issue.  If quick join lands new players in the match lobby, at least the crewing is announced and known.

We're also looking at more comprehensive topics such as matchmaking, commendation, expanded tutorial, etc.
But we'l need to take it one step at a time.

Thanks!  Howard

I'd say that's very fair.

Awesome - the spreadsheet is starting to look at bit better now.  Depending on my funds when it goes live, I'm either definitely going to try and get in on the KCE AM tier, or I'm ultimately going to have to just donate a smaller amount and buy the regular Collectors Edition for Adventure Mode later when I can better afford it.

—Whatever OS we support now, we will continue to support in Adventure Mode.

—Standard version will just include the game.  Collector's edition contains a bunch of extra stuff like some costumes, documentary, etc...  Kickstarter Edition is the highly sought after Dust Rider costume.  KE Skirmish will get the Dust Rider we have now.  KE Adventure will get Dust Rider 2.0.

Again, it's walking on a tight rope and we're thinking about it very closely.  None of what I said is set in stone, just an example of what has been tossed around.

That sounds very legal-speaky up there.  I've seen in multiple areas on Steam and on the site here that Windows XP isn't "officially" supported.....even though it still happens to work.  Obviously if the creation of Adventure Mode breaks W XP support because it would otherwise be holding the game back, then by all means, go ahead and break it if GoIO will become a better game.  I'm just concerned about it a little as the new Kickstarter approaches.

Between the KE version of the game and the CE version of the game, does the KE include all of the documentaries & extras or just the Dust Rider stuff?  The way that its all been presented seems to imply that I will be missing some sort of content or extra if I don't pursue both the KE and CE versions of the game.

Hello,

Just to be sure... Do you still continue to support Linux OS ?
If you do so you can count on my money and on me to spread the word.

Thanks and take care of ya.

I can say the same for Windows XP x86 - please don't break it!    (>_<)

Also, the wonderful idea just hit me......would it ever be possible to have a model Goldfish ship that we could sit on our shelves or something?  I'd have to think that a real life replica of one of the in-game ships (about the size of an American football or smaller) would be an amazing item to offer during the Kickstarter.

Oh, wow - Amazon makes things a lot easier.  I think I'm going to try and aim for KE Adventure myself, but the money might be a tight squeeze.....

Thanks for posting that list Hubert.

Whoever the character artist is that drew up all those outfits in the original post deserves a cookie along with their next paycheck~

I might be jumping the gun with this, but I'm looking at the spreadsheet and the initial post, and I cant for the life of me figure out what any of the Kickstarter tiers, abbreviations, or rewards all are meaning.  Obviously there will be more information and pictures posted when the actual Kickstarter page goes up, but for now, I am very confused as to what is all currently being offered.

I absolutely want to contribute (sad that it's so expensive to actually have an impact on the game.....but that's obviously intended I'd imagine), but I want to make sure that I'm putting my dollars towards the best tier for my budget......and right now, I don't have nearly enough information with which to plan ahead for an informed decision.

.....and be careful with those stretch goals......there's the slim chance you could actually wind up having to add whales & boarding.......or WHALE BOARDING.
