"Shake and Bake Time"

Use the harpoon to slingshot your ally into an enemy for a ram kill.

I think it'd make an excellent long-to-medium range pursuit weapon in tandem with the Mercury for the Pyramidion. Compared to most all of the other small weapons (besides the merc.) it has the range and accuracy to pose as the "flack" after the merc takes down the armor. If anything, it's good at disabling at range because unlike the merc. it has shatter damage and AoE, and with the Hwatcha at range you'll only get a few hits with it's spread. All in all I'd consider mostly a long-distance disabler that handles itself decently at closer ranges.

In the different towns and market places there should be random pilot groups or gangs that you might accidentally bump into, causing them to challenge you to a skirmish. So I guess it would somewhat be resemblant of a Pokemon battle. You cross their path, they challenge you, you lay the smack-down on their puny ship, and you earn a little cash for winning (though you don't send any home to mom).
If you continually fight groups in a city, perhaps they'd become stronger/more abundant and you'd kind of end up fighting underground factions and gangs when you visit the town. And as you beat more of them, they'd channlenge you more in bigger, stronger groups.
Basically what I'm suggesting is some way for you or an AI to initiate a skirmish without it being a "quest", but rather just a one-time fight.

A Skywhale summoner.

It shoots a whistling ball that sticks to a ship. The glorious Skywhales are provoked by the irritable noise and attack the ship with the whistle stuck to it.
