SAnji i knew about you and Aleyeska through the CA app also Aleyeska told me
ZILL I WAS JUST UP THERE THIS WEEKEND >.<
I stickied it and added it to the calender...
I won't be able to make the meeting as I will be in D.C. @ VGU helping MUSE with the booth there o.o
Heh heh. I wonder what happens wit Spud when he's drunk.
Anyways about people with low levels or low match count. I try to be polite and courteous, I really do. But if it's a whiny pre-teen my mood sours pretty quickly. Yelling "ready up" for 5 minutes straight while everyone's trying to get their ship together really kills my good intentions. Trolls are a special case, they're all irritating in different ways. Heck even the jerk that brings nothing but lochnar and extinguish, chem, buff hammer because he has no idea what he's doing and refuses to change his loadout or listen.
Still, if I find that rare low level player who's willing to listen and actively tries to learn then I think I can stop playing for the day and leave happy. In fact, I really should get around to inviting a number of people to practice since they surprised me so with their skill which did not match their level.
For my part, I really like what MUS is doing. There's just something fundamentally enjoyable about sitting in a lobby, listening to The Ballad of Serenity1 with fifteen random people from all over the world while you get ready to blow each other out of the sky.
You seem to see a problem that, as far as I can tell, doesn't really exist with what they do and how they're doing it: MUS aren't a bunch of self-proclaimed DJs blasting Gangster-Yodel-Metal whenever they can. They are, as Aleyeska said, genuinely pleasant people who (in my experience) mainly if not exclusively play by request, in moderate amounts and loudness and never anything offensive. I'm pretty sure most of their members will stop it when and if you ask them.
I'm sure as hell pleased whenever I join a lobby to find that MUS is present there.

What about a firestorm heavy gun? Launch a canister/molotov cocktail. When it either hits something or reaches max range it explodes into the size of a single tar cloud. The cloud creates 3(?) stacks of fire per second on any component inside it, and possibly the shot deals some sort of fun damage if it hits. Say primary damage is impact and secondary (AOE) damage is fire.
Heavy fire weapon that is not just a copy of a flamethrower.
