Cykas raises an eyebrow. "Using manners is to be expected when dealing with any nobles. Humility is a virtue after all. I was asking more along the lines of whether or not there is anything specific to the fjords that I should consider"

"Ah" Cykas said, adjusting his coat and smoothing his hair. "Anything we should know before-hand? I've never been to the baronies"

Cykas closed his coat, making it look a good deal more formal than when it was opened up. He had also taken the time earlier to trim his goatee and shave off excess stubble, along with finally fixing his hair. He looked a great deal more presentable than when he had been found, the iron medallion had been polished as well, giving it a nice shine. "What kind of event is this, that formal attire is encouraged?"

Cykas nods down to his Iron-grey coat, "My vestments are formal enough for any occasion. I have no need for something else. Though a cleaning might be in order." He glances over at Carn and sees the milk incident. "Such a strange idea, that what you drink can somehow influence your machismo."

"Right... Well perhaps this 'Thor' should have come up with an easier name to pronounce" Cykas said with a shrug as he finished sharpening his blades, pulling out a cotton cloth to polish them.

"What in the name of the Old Soul is Mjolnir?"Cykas asks, stopping completely in his sharpening with a confused look on his face

Cykas pauses briefly in the sharpening of his bayonets, looking up to the doorway that koali was just whisked through. "That's it..." He says, returning to his task, "I'm surrounded by lunatics."

Cykas chuckles softly at Koali. "Sometimes having voices in your head is good. In a life of prayer and meditation some of the most fulfilling conversations I've had are with myself." He sets aside his plate, pulling out the twin bayonets at his side and beginning to sharpen them with a whetstone from a pocket of his grey coat. "And yes, I realize just how crazy that makes me sound." Cykas says with a broad smile, his eyes twinkling.

Cykas barely looks up from his food as he addresses the troll. "Do you have evidence to prove it? If she is guilty of such a sin then retribution is expected, but i will not condone exacting that retribution on someone who does not definitively deserve it."

Cykas chuckled to himself. "Well there you have it, it seems I wont be able to make that sword. As it is, i probably wouldnt have been able to make it anyway. something like that requires a master smith, and im far from that. These blades are strong, but ultimately simple. Most smiths could make them with ease." He takes a few more mouthfuls of pasta. "And ultimately, these are tools of defense, for both myself and the priests and scavengers which I am usually tasked with protecting. Your fancy sword does not sound like something used only in defense, and I would not make a weapon that is not for defense of others. None of the Iron Hand would. The Old souls guide us and protect us, but do not wish to be used for slaughter."

Cykas reaches down to pat the foot-long blades of the bayonets strapped to his legs. "I found a bunch of these in an old building when i first started my paladin training. Melted a few down and reforged them to make the blades longer and stronger. So far the only fight I've lost with these by my side was one where the other guys had guns. You have any idea how hard it is to scavenge Old world guns that still work? or even parts for them?" Cykas shook his head and began eating his pasta, continuing after a few mouthfuls, "Bloody nightmare it is."

Cykas takes a swig from the canteen of water at his side before saying, "Yes. We're almost like a guild that happens to have a religion attached. I won't preach to you, that's not my job, but we're focused mainly on recovering things from the Old World. Scrap, tech, knowledge, almost anything we can find. Once we have it, we adapt it or remake it to suit this world and use it to help those we can. The religion is based on similar ideals, 'Use the Old to help the New', that kind of thing."

Cykas nods  at Carn's invitation, sitting down near him and the woman who he assumed was his significant other. He quietly calls to the barkeep, "I'd very much like something to eat as well. Something simple, I have no wish to trouble you unduly." He turns his bright green eyes onto Carn, smiling as he says, "I'd like to thank you again for rescuing me. I will eventually have to return to the Iron Hand, but for now I'll stay with your crew to assist. with your permission of course."

(well i am officially confused)

Cykas had been quietly staying out of the conflict, keeping the under-crewed pyramidian, which had a majority of the canisters, out of the fight so as to avoid potentially damaging them. Not to mention the fact that he was practically flying a 4 man ship by himself, so this required a good deal of focus. As it was, he was listening to most of the exchange through the radio before transmitting his own message. "Are we sure that if you do this it won't be a danger to anyone? I agree that these need to be destroyed, but if we end up causing more harm than good..." he let the thought hang.
