I am gonna agree with skrim. I don't even understand why there is controversy here.

Just like every statement maximillion has ever made.I'm really REALLY getting sick of this hand holding culture that just doesn't encourage people to step up and strive to improve.
I would typically agree with you, but this is a TEAM game... and one bad player effects EVERYBODY in the match, not just that new and/or bad player. If this were Mario Kart or Mortal Kombat, I'd say, "Screw you, if you're awful, that's on you. You're only losing for yourself." But Guns of Icarus is nothing like those games. A hand-holding culture is necessary to improve the game for EVERYBODY. You're being selfish, honestly. And that's fine. But don't expect the game to grow or the quality of the player base to rise. We're all in this together. Start acting like it and do some work. Otherwise, don't complain.
I point your point to the MOBA genre and tell me again if hand holding culture is necessary. The game is PVP, by nature the game is get good or gtfo.
Hell team sports in general. No one wants that short fat kid.
This is exactly the problem this thread was started on. This isnt a moba. PVP doesnt mean "git gud" Its just the culture thats been created in other games. This game should be ABOVE that. Thats the point. These statements youre making are toxic.
I'm not attacking you mate. But do you notice what I'm saying? "it would've been good, if they'd done what I say here"technically most of gilder's posts about goio are that too.
No I am perfectly happy with many movies. Last one I Netflix'd was Kingsman. Found it a tad cheesy but overall it didn't try to be more than it was. Enjoyed it. The movie knew it's identity and it wasn't terribly written. A few scenes rushed here and there can be forgiven.Wow what an amazing amount of expertise and insight you have. We didn't know you were so involved and well informed.
Before that, Rogue Nation. Actually somewhat enjoyed that too. Especially because they didn't play it as predictably as I thought they would.
Star Wars...all you hear about it is raves. Disney is merchandising it to death. Heck commercials on TV the other night...I don't think there was one segment where Williams wasn't played in the background of the ad.
Lucas then throws a fit...personally it made me want to watch 7 more because if he hates it, then it'll be good. However by the end of the movie I found Lucas to be right on many points. Now Disney bent him over and breach loaded him full of "praise it or we crush you." So he's recanting and playing nice again.
Its hilarious that when I see critical reviews of 7...they go into all these things and more. Things which should label a movie as "garbage" yet they can't stop singing praises for 7 at the same time and encouraging people to see it. Sorry media but if you want to shovel feces into my mouth and call it chocolate you better at least make it taste somewhat like chocolate.
The down side is that such a video would not get that many views unless one of the bigger you tube channels linked to it or posed it as their own. It is a sort of catch 22 of this game, the community is too small to have you tube instructors like Day9, but the skill level for good play is so high that the average lets play youtuber is still completely out of their depth even if they only spend a few hours learning game mechanics.I don't think any youtuber takes the time to learn mechanics, they go straight into it and record their first impression. Time = money.
They tried e-sport...they rushed into it with a broken game and e-sports canned involvement. Those stats really don't apply to goio at all... Goio has unique gameplay that doesn't seem to work well in pve based on the existing 'prototype'. Star citizen is not a balanced pvp game, hornets will ruin my aurora so i don't play any pvp. And in mmo's i get the impression there is just a much larger amount of content created for pve.
COOP is important because it'll reach a larger chunk of the potential player base. Star Citizen stats alone show about a 70/30 gap between their COOP mode and PVP mode. Sometimes it goes up to 80/20. Again in MMOs, the most popular servers are PVE servers, not PVP. Stats alone show that GOIO COOP is a smart move.
Richard, what you describe sound so vast that even if Muse would be willing to do it, it would be Tutorial DLC availibile around 2020-ish only for 10$ The idea is nice, but looking at amount of resources Muse can put into Skirmnish and Co-Op it's completely delusional, or at least naive.Novice matches only exist after sales, we can't act like these are an option for less experienced players to join.
I mostly agree with nano, as always (it gets boring )
Muse at least admits that tutorials are not-all-shiny-and-perfect, which is a great success, perhaps they will even do something with it. But then again after MM they dropped the novice bar which basically resulted in people getting out of novice in a day, maybe two.
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want auto-rematch.. But when population is very low like now it may as well since your likely to end up with similar teams anyway..Doesn't shuffle still exist too?
Wait, what exactly is this cross over stuff?! *gets reading glasses and starts researching*Mostly cosmetics in each game themed after the other one, but depth went the furthest and included an entire map set in a modern day version of one of the existing chivalry maps.
I feel like I am a caveman right now... Not knowing what this is..
