well the heavy whirlwind and heavy flame thrower would both be on a heavy base so they can do a bit more damage.

Another idea for the mini airship is a airship with 2 of these mini airship pads and 1 weapon. It would be fairly weak and slow since it would have two of these airship platforms which would be fairly heavy. Also one last thing have a option to not have the mini airship platform and when you do you lose a bit of your upward movement speed.

These are just ideas so don't freak out if you think they are the most stupid things you have ever seen.

1. Heavy whirlwind Gatling gun(medium weapon platform), Basically 2-4 whirlwind Gatling guns one 1 frame.

2. leacher rocket(light weapon platform), a very slow firing rocket that connects to a ship part(other than the hull) and does damage to it over time. To get it off your ship you would simply have to hit it with a hammer a couple of times.

3. Heavy flamethrowers(medium weapon platform), longer range flame throwers with more flame.


This next idea is WAY out there and is probably a terrible idea.
Mini airship, a very small, fast, but weak single man airship with a single light weapon controlled by the pilot. you would control it like a normal airship but you would also use the mouse to aim and fire the weapon. Pilots would still be able to use there piloting abilities by selecting it then right clicking, gunners would use there ammo types just like they normally do. This would have to be on a different weapon platform so someone doesn't outfit a galleon with four of them and do a lot of damage. once deployed you would not be able to repair it or get off until you move back to the launching pad on your ship. If it dies anyone with a engineer tool would be able to re-build the mini airship and the pilot of the mini airship would wait a few seconds before they re spawn on the ship. It would be a very slow re-build on account for how useful and powerful it would be.

I just had another idea. A New game mode that would rely on bigger ships, here is the idea:

basic name(could be improved): Kill the commander

Teams(could change): 2-4 small 4 man ships and 1 large 6-10 command ship.

Goal: Kill the large ship (or after a certain time a capture point would be available for capture to win.)

Rules: Re-spawns are infinite until the command ship dies. Once Command ship is dead all other ships on that team would have only their current ship to use(would not be able to re-spawn). (Once point is capped game is done.)

Command ship: Multiple variations with different weapon placements speed and armor(similar to normal 4 man ships) They would have 2-3 Main engines and 4-6 turning engines. 1-2 balloon stations (big maybe this next one)1-2 armor stations.

Specialty stations to the command ship: A command table that the commander could use for easy commanding of allied ships and for a visual representation of the battle field without having to go into map. Auto-repair station(maybe) would slowly repair the ship automatically after no damage is taken for a certain amount of time.

How to become command ship commander: So that some noob does not take the place of Command ship commander everyone on that team would vote on who should be the command ship commander.


These are just ideas and can be altered if you believe something needs to be altered. If you think something should change just post a reply and others can see that.

Do javelin Light harpoon guns need something to make them more usefull?

I haven't played Guns Of Icarus Online for very long but one thing i have noticed is your see many different weapons on the ships but one you almost never see is the Javelin Light Harpoon gun. Honestly i have a feeling this is cause it is next to useless. There are so many other guns that are much better that people use. Yes it does lots of hull damage and can pull ships towards you but it does not do crazy amounts of hull damage and the pull does not do a whole lot. What i am suggesting(there are probably better ideas) is to make it so when the javelin hooks onto another ship you can then send small explosives down the rope that do damage. You would be able to get 1-5(mabey) total mines that you can send down it then the rope would break and you have to re-hook them. This would make the javelin Light harpoon guns so much more useful cause you would have a way you could get some sure hit shots. If you can hit the ship with the harpoon. If this is added i would even decrease its accuracy a bit since it would be a easy way to do a bunch of damage.
This is just a idea and I belive there are some that love the Javelin light harpoon gun but many others may agree with me, just please don't start raging at me.

That might be why my galleon is so good when i have the cannonade on it and kind of shit when i have all rapid fire rocket launchers(can think of the name of them right now) (i normally have two of each)

These are just a couple i came up with Some of them are just downright crazy but who knows someone might want them.
Crazy abilities.
Barrel roll: makes your ship roll completely to throw the other ships off. Would damage Balloon slightly.
Ultra glow: Makes your ship glow very bright blinding Other ships(not including allies lets just say they where warned and put on super sunglasses) would damage hull armor.
Explosive armor: makes it so when you ram someone it does extra explosive damage but also damages your ships hull armor at the same time.
Serious abilities.
Balloon deflate: Deflates your balloon and makes you drop very fast. Would damage balloon slightly.
Balloon overflow: Over fills your balloon making you ascend fast. Would have a chance to completely destroy balloon but would damage near by enemies when it explodes.
Flaps: would stop the ship extremely fast without having to go in reverse. Would damage hull.(for the noob drivers that don't no when to turn the engine off when stopping)
Flare barrage: Fires flares in all directions to take out incoming missiles. Would damage Hull armor.

Why not have two completely different groups of battles. There would be the group with all four man ships and groups with bigger 6 or 8 man ships. The 6 or 8 man ship group would have slightly larger maps The ships would have 2-3 main engines and 4-6 turning engines and maybe(this is a BIG maybe) 2 different balloon stations. You would not have to worry about balancing cause they would be in two completely different matches. maybe for the people that really want to they can take a four man ship to a 6-8 man ship fight but that would be for the most pro of players. Many people would still play the 4 man ship cause yes it would be less people running around managing the ship and manning guns but some would like Lots of guns and lots of people. Honestly i would love the bigger ships cause it would be a challenge for the commander. Also with the 6-8 man ships why not have a second in command? someone that can order just the engineers around, order the gunners around, or assist the Commander in decisions.

Isn't the Mobula supposed to be a ship that runs in guns blazing kills a person and gets out? One thing has no one though of the idea to have a passage way going straight from the Balloon repair station to the Hull station?

The Combat Fly text would be nice but maybe have it an option to turn it off or make it so you can set the things that tell you if you hit to turn a certain color for different damages.
As for the passive class abilities it would make gunners more important. I know i have seen some ships that will go 1 pilot and 3 engineers cause you don't really need the 4 ammo types. I have seen people go all gunners cause it would be harder than having a engineer and pilot with you cause they just aren't that useful. Also i have seen people go with no Pilot. I think though it should be like this
Gunner: better weapons are more accurate and have a chance to do bonus damage(critical hit)
Engineer: Faster repair over other classes even if you are using the same re-pair tool as a gunner or pilot.
Pilot: More maneuverability in general.(speed, climbing, turning, stopping)
