Welcome to the
208th! We are a clan that was started as a Planetside 2 outfit, later added Arma 3, and currently evolved to a gaming community that focuses on several games, GoIO being one of our favorites!
What Are We About?Within the 208th we work together as a team, we used to be a military realism clan whom try to replicate the feel and atmosphere that would live within the Terran Republic Military, the SBS Royal Navy, an FIA rebel force, and more. This means primarily that we sometimes operate on a chain of command, where on the battlefield troops follow orders, squad leaders follow commands and commanders apply their units where they can be used best. Of course, after a battle and during our weekly meetings all members are invited to throw up ideas and voice their opinions. This is because we want to maintain a sense of democracy within the clan as far as the out of game organization goes.
With us, you'll be able to feel that you are a part of something big, that has purpose and meaning that goes beyond the normal game goals. We fight together, and we hold the line together!What Are We Looking For?We always want new members - as we put more emphasis on community than on skill or personal gain, we love seeing new faces pop up on our Teamspeak. To join us you will need to:
- Want to cooperate and work as a team
- Own a microphone and be willing to use it (don't be shy, we all have bad english)
- Be able to active (around 2 hour a week - flexible, but we require some activity)
As you can see we do not require you to be at a certain level, and we do not have tryouts - we accept everyone and anyone as long as they are friendly, and we do not pretend to be the best of the best at the game.
We Are the best of the best at teamwork though, and we maintain that by supporting our community!
