It is a side effect of text, tone is hard to detect.

I just sai- Okay, you know what? Fine, Stamina and the UI change is totally the best thing to ever be added to this game. However I've sadly come down with a case of "GoIO uninstalled" so, sadly, maybe I'll be able to see all of you again, but, till that moment where this incurable disease is fixed, I'll just go do something else.

Good! More fun for us. Bye then!

Nah, I think I'll go into provoking more and basically just call everyone fucking gays.

David, that helps your cause not at all. I personally am with you on the UI change. I think it was a pretty bad change, but I left those comments in the appropriate thread. In terms of stamina, meh... It just feels unnecessary to me. Its just something the game didn't need, and I wish development time spent on that would have gone toward the completion of Co-op. However, I was too shy to speak my mind, and so this has come to pass. If we want this issue fixed, we need to use collected and logical arguments to support our side, not sporadic attacks and insults (this applies to both sides of the argument).

General Discussion / Re: Why

Something that was brought up by one of my friends was that the ship icons on the compass are not only so small that they are hard to interpret, they are also off-center. This makes identifying targets quite hard when looking out in the distance at two ships, one of which is an ally. I'm also not a fan of the pure white Ui, it doesn't match the damaged component popups or the gun interface.

Gameplay / Re: New Fangled Tesla Gun

Really? I was not aware... has it had any specific traits linked to it? or just a weapon model/projectile?

As far as I am aware, the weapon was intended in it's prototype to be a similar weapon to the flamer.
A particle weapon, with quite short range, high fire rate, large clip size, and mediocre amount of shatter damage per shot. So it is pretty good at destroying mechanical components as you'd expect from electric weapons - little to none damage to armor, balloon and hull(as they are not vulnerable to electricity) and the bulk of the damage dealt to components.

Now that is what I believe was intended of the tesla gun in it's prototype state, minor tweaks have probably happen since then and it'll look a bit different mechanics-wise.

Keep in mind that muse specifically said that we cannot expect anymore new weapons/maps/ships in skirmish mode until coop comes out, so this gun is most likely - if released, to be released in coop and then later on if found to be balanced enough be put in skirmish.
So don't get your hopes up.

Probably best it comes in co-op anyways, should be really good for knocking down all of those planes. I do hope it makes it into skirmish eventually, just for fun at the least  :)

not really new fangled as the game has always had tesla right from the first prototype.

its about time it finally comes to online.

Anyone have a take on the new Tesla weapon that we got a peek at in the weekly update?

I'd love to see the return of the tesla from the original guns of Icarus. It would act as a wide area damage weapon for medium to close range, sort of like a medium sized flamethrower without the flames. The idea being it could disable guns and do ok damage to balloons, but you lack the ability to precisely aim it. The only problem I see is it doesn't do anything the hwatcha does better.

Just had a better and more unique idea.  The Tesla would have unlimited ammo, but overheat after about two seconds of firing. The gun would do light shatter damage, lack the ability to precisely aim (arcing to whatever it pleases), but be able to intercept and destroy projectiles at the range of a carronade. Of course, it wouldn't work against non-projectile weapons. Tell me what you guys think!
