Title: Cogs Tipping Comp FINALE

Ok peeps. It's the final week. Hold onto your butts. The nature of this week could make or break your score as there is a total of 7 points up for grabs. Now, make sure you read the tipping guidelines CAREFULLY. Also, the ladder has so far changed almost every day since it's beginning so be ready to repost your votes if it happens again.

Aside from that is should be a fun week.


Tipping posts MUST be set out as follows (I took the liberty of putting in teams this weeks example for clarity. I flipped a coin for the winner.):


Quarter Finals

Match A: Pastafarians over Merry Northern Storm
Match B: Black Flight Squadron over Polaris Company
Match C: The Gentlemen over The Brood

Semi Finals

Match A: The Paddling over The Pastafarians
Match B: Black Flight Squadron over The Gentlemen

Finals

Final: The Paddling over Black Flight Squadron
3th: The Gentlemen over The Pastafarians

IMPORTANT: No hedging your bets. You're predicting the tourney as a WHOLE. If you tipped Pasta over MNS then you must tip a Paddling vs Pasta match NOT a Paddling vs MNS. If you don't understand or have any questions feel free to post them below.

Yes that was a problem I thought might come up. Any way I looked at it had the same problem though :/ Unfortunately after the first round you will run into roadblocks.

All the advice I can give is tip what you feel comfortable with. And I'm sorry if this means that you miss out on some points but at the moment I see no concrete solution that's fair for everyone.

Just to clarify there was never a rule against tipping your own matches. This has always been the Tipping Comp policy.

Maybe you just can't tip against your own team? If you're confident in a win you won't be losing any points ;)

I agree that we don't need extra rules around matches that you are in, and that just tipping assuming you are correct is the way to go, if you are not confident enough in your predicted outcomes to tip based on them, then why chose them in the first place ;)

Less over complicated rules the better!

Go big or go home I guess. Just realized I am almost entirely underdog voting here.

Match A. PaFa over MNS.------ Zill is talented but not as good as pretended. The PaFas have really been proving themselves up to par with Zwaene back.
Match B BFS over Polaris. ----- I think the Polaris surprise may be beggining to wear thin and BFS will surely have gotten their act together by this weekend.
Match C Brood over Gents. -----I feel Jace and I really have a shot against this powerhouse of a team.Jace and I are quickly becoming not just game veterans but also competitive veterans and are getting much better with working together as opposed to both trying to be good on own.


Semi-final A Paddling over PaFa. ----- sorry PaFa's you know I love you but I just don't see Squash and Smollet going down.
Semi-final B Brood over the BFS. ----- History is on our side! in 100% of matches played between the BFS and the Brood at Duel at Dawn have gone way of the Brood.

Final Brood over Paddling. ----- Jace and I have been the paddling's target practice for months now. There is not a thing that they can do that can surprise us.
3st. PaFas over BFS. ----- PaFas have shown they can fight on this map effectively.

Correct. You're tipping the tourney as a whole not each match individually. There were 2 problems with 3st. You only had the winning team, and not their opponent. You already tipped MNS to lose. If you want MNS in the 3st match they have to make it there in your tipping.

Quarter Finals:

Match A: This is a hard one, MNS have had some problems in recent times, but one should never count out their combined skills, Pasta are adaptive players who seem to keep their cool even under the worst conditions, this match was one of the hardest to predict
Match B: Russian might makes right
Match C: I am in this match, never hurts to have faith :D (only tipping my own matches for this week :p)

Semi Finals
Match A: Paddling have managed to overcome MNS on this map before, I see it going well
Match B: Qucks vs Russians, depends on how good the vodka is on the day <3


Finals
1st:  If this match comes around, it will be one hell of a quacker
3rd: MNS are formidable despite their recent issues, A russian upset could happen though.

I decided to tip my own matches this week, why not, lets have faith in Quackpowaa ^^ (Also I didn't want to let Sunderland win tipping without a fight!)

gratz paddling, good games everyone, that was amazing. Thats why i love GOI.
unfortunately we lost, but i hope we will give you a good competition in the next season.
Also i wanted to add something about our match with brood. Do not want to justify myself, just saying. You can not see it on the stream, but i got stuck in the textures 2 fuckin times. First time - about 30 seconds, when  brood was focusing down our junker. When i escaped from textures, paniced and could not understand where the enemies are. When i finally found them, i fuckin stucked the 2-nd time (about 20-30 seconds), and then the wall killed me. I never panicked like that ever. :D

I saw that zitruskiller, the velcro post 1.2 can be really bad, it sucks hard that it happens to you, you had us a bit disorganised thanks to that tar splitting us as well. Looking forward to fighting you guys next season none the less, maybe we will have a new ship and the mine launcher to play with!

The velcro was extremely unfortunate, but I'm curious as to why Ailen was holding back at the end. Why did he just sit there while the other ship died?

there were many mistakes ) The experience i brought from the cogs finale, is that the main reason of loosing for most of teams (at least 4 us) is panic, and disorganizing, as a consequence.
