I am trying to find a team or guild to be in. i was wondering if there is a competitive mode or what?

There are competitive events, Mainly the Sunday Community Skirmish in which clans can compete.

For Teams / Guilds / Clans, check out The Docks subforum here for all the clans
You will need to contact the clans directly in game as most players do not update their recruitment threads.
