Gunners because many feel entitled that they should always get the gunner slot instead of switching off. Captains because they know they have the most important job

Captains. Because sitting in that chair sends all the power rushing to their heads.

Gunners. Because all those huge cannon barrels gives them something to compare their crotch to.

Engineers. Because Chem spray addiction and fixing anything by hitting it is pretty big.

Skywhales. Because their existence is questionable and no one can validate their hallucinations.

So who has the biggest ego? Skywhales. It's always the skywhales.

Captains but it is legitimate because they have to deal with all the crap and still make sure their ship doesn't fall apart in the air. Can you imagine how it was during the age of sail? 50...60...over 100 men. Trying to wrangle all that and keep the ship on course/etc. Exactly why things like the "cat of nine tails" came into existence and how keel hauling became a thing.
