Week 7 points and teams are up!
We're getting close to the end of the League, only a few weeks left. Week 9 will be our last week of the standard play, with Week 10 being the final 4 teams competing for the Championship.
As we've had 2 teams drop out, things are getting complicated. So at this stage, we're offering TWO choices to current teams in the League. We can:
A: Remove the bottom two teams at the bottom of the scoreboard along with the TBD teams, continue the League as normal.
B: Keep the TBD slots open, remove clan limit and substitution restrictions for these teams.
Each team gets a single vote on how they would like the League to proceed. We currently have 18 teams left. We require at least 6 votes to pass an option, but the option with the most votes will win. If neither vote gets more than 6, the vote will not be considered. Voting should be done no later than Wednesday, although we'll likely keep it open until Friday. We will post matches for both options until the vote has been decided.
Teams that want to join should sign up in this thread ASAP, post your contact, team name, and list your team members. If we can get two teams who sign up that meet the current ruleset, we will ignore the options have these two teams join. If a consensus cannot be reached by Wednesday, we will proceed with option A. If we can get 2 teams for whom the rules would have to be changed, and the current teams vote for B, we will proceed with B. If teams vote for B, but we do not get the teams by Friday, we will proceed with A.
-
So, just to clarify, we will go with option B IFF the teams vote for it AND we find two teams to fill the spots. If we vote for B and we don't find teams, we just go with A. There's no way that a team will miss an opportunity to play like what happened this week.
In that case, we vote B.
S/O to clans to fill those spots! I know Rydr and SkBo have had teams express interest in playing.

"No more than 10 people from the same clan are allowed to participate in the Cronus League."
Unless that changed, you will not see more Rydr, because we would exceed the limit.
-
Yes, according to the post Thomas just put up, we removed that rule (see option B).
Also, Thomas, could you check the scores on Pastry Timepiece and Kajiggrs? Either their scores are swapped or Kajiggrs should be above Timepiece.

Sky Slicers signing up.

Pastry Timepiece votes B also.
-
Cake Bakers votes for option B. I can assist in finding subsitutes. I have players regularly ask me to join in from event promotions in global and on my streams

Team Bumble has agreed to option Bee.
-
Ergo Victoriam votes for option B, due to the fact that A would eliminate our clan's primary ship. And because the changes in standings can be so drastic between weeks that even the bottom teams can come back and finish at the top. We went from 18th to 8th in a single week, and we believe it would be unfair to not give the bottom two teams a chance to do the same.
-
Option B. It isn't hard to get teams... just gotta personally advertise a bit. My team and I are evidence of that.
-
Fixed Pastry Timepiece and Kajiggrs standings.
At this point in time it looks like most teams are voting for option B. Right now we have the votes and at least one ship for the TBD slot. There's only one other ship slot left.
IF we do get two teams that do meet the current ruleset, they will be given preference in being added to the roster. If we only get one or less teams that meet the current ruleset, it's whoever signs up first. So sign your teams up ASAP regardless.

Why would anyone want to sign up with lowered points and no chance to win tournament?

Perhaps to play and have fun.

Plus, you get babysitted with extra points to the top if you beat teams with more points, so you do have a chance.

Yup, not all of us had the privilege of being available at the start of the tournament and would enjoy the chance to get involved.

Well, teams would be starting at 858 points, which is less than the 1000 everyone else but the other late join teams started with. And there's 3 weeks left for this part of the League. The goal isn't to be the top ranked team, it's to be in the top four. Considering teams get roughly 100 points for every win, and more against the high ranked teams, you can actually catch up pretty quick. And if you're beating the top ranked teams, they're losing a lot of points. If Ouroborus Ryders lose a their first match next week, they'll lose 194 points, and if your team beats them, you will earn 131 points for both ships.
So it's entirely possible for an incoming team to wind up in the top 4. If the current top ranked teams don't do as well, all of them might not even be in the top 4 by the time week 9 rolls around.

It's the ultimate battle.
In other news, I'll reupdate everything with the new teams tonight.

It seems my allies for this week, GSR, are taking a break. Looking at the rules, a temporary sub. team can be brought in with reduced points. Would that team play with me instead of GSR, or would the pairs shift to accommodate the sub. team’s points?
-
The temporary team will play instead of GSR (Still be your partner). We will be enforcing the current ruleset for that sub team. That slot is open.
-
Teams, matches, and maps have been updated!
If there's any errors, let me know~
