Yeah I was in the burning skies but not as often or as much as I would have liked to be, organising the fools back then into events was too much work :P

WARNING. The statements below are parts of MY opinion/insight/whatever. I wish NOT to start another shitstorm (or as some call it: Schwalbestorm).

Well. In the meantime matchmaker happened and an agrressive sale policy, which - in conclusion - led to a high degree division between new players and veterans/people who know things.

Since the introduction of matchmaker, my blocklist expanded approximately 1000 times - and I'm not even kidding.

And as it was a nice experience - to teach other players new things and watch them grow, get better, have fun and see them realising that they hard work may pay off - with the sales assault combined with matchfaker, many experienced players felt suddenly forced to teach dosens of people match after match, and many of them grew frustrated so much they left.

Sorry for the grim picture, I'm a miserable man myself.

It would be fun to see getting you into a ship full of those "hurr durr vets, 3x45 after 800 matches" bastards. Or normal minded veterans who does not go into forum, however some of those might probably check your ingame profile and get confused.

Goddammit, if I'd see you ingame I'd probably go on bantering how I hate hate matchfaker for sending me another scrub. xD

Let me just say, that once I've witnessed level 25 engineer NOT repairing main pyra's engine from below, and I've realised that after one of those "retarded charges" of mine. And for fucks sake, I wish it was a solitary occurence...

Yeah man it's happened many a time in my tenure with the game, on a bigger and bigger scale each time. This game is amazing for building a community and guiding and helping each other, but of course it comes with the flip side of the coin. As much as we would all love everyone to be amazing, it's just not gonna happen

Also don't mistake me for an amazing player. I was a good captain back in beta with like 50 players but it was all down hill from there. I just talked over the damn game :P

And really?! Some old forum posts are all that remain of my legacy?! No hoards of screaming fans begging for my return?  All that top quality content I made?! :p

What Schwalbe means is that leveling is now much easier to do, basically to lvl up you need X thousands of exp where X is lvl you are advancing to, so for lvl1 it's 1000, lvl2 is 2000 and so on. Achievements are worth ludicrous amount of exp and won match is worth 1000 so people can get really high lvl without knowing shit actually. Also previously with lvl12 cap the novice was up until lvl4 but now with lvl45 cap the novice is just lvl8, so people lvl up much faster and they go out of novice zone riddiculously faster and Devs don't see any problem with that.

Oh and despite that people still farm achievements, so ftw lvl25 engineer who doesn't know shit and buffs everything. Levels now mean even less than before so we judge people abilities (or just non-retardeness) based on number of matches they have played, because it's more accurate.

The achievement reward experience got hugely nerfed, so it takes longer now.
No more level 3 after tutorials and level 5 after one match.
