Here we are, the final list for week 3 of The Mercantile War! Those who didn't make the deadlines for this week, try again next week! Remember this event isn't as formal or as pressing as past events.

Signups for Merc boat spots will take place in this thread and will be first come first serve. So if you want to fly in another match. As long as it isn't with fellow clanmates as per the rules, add your ship in!

Reminder to all teams. The event starts at 1pm PDT/4pm EDT/8pm UTC. Please be in GOIO ahead of time and ready to join matches. The event staff will not be messaging you to round you up. You will be given names of people to join on in this thread. However, staff will not be unreachable. We will be available on the Aerodrome mumble server as well as being online in game and utilizing the global chat in GOIO.

Aerodrome mumble details will be sent via PMs to all the CEOs who registered.

Streaming will be taking place @ www.twitch.tv/bullyboys

Matches will start going up around 30 minutes prior event. The refs will be updated if need be.  Passwords will be sent out along with the mumble in messages via the forums here. Due to the limitations on ref staff, not all of the matches may be ready from the start. I will try to start and hold lobbies so technically I myself will be able to be joined onto if I am holding a match open for you.

Those of you who stated you'd be willing to Merc on your signups. Please select now the matches you want to merc in. You can select more than one. Heck you could select all of them. There will be no limits on the number of matches you can play. In fact it would be a great help if you could fill as we do have some rather vacant matches.

Keep in mind, these matches will be under Cargo Carrier rules. So in some ways, consider this an opportunity to practice the ruleset in preparation for following weeks.

It's not letting me modify my post, but there has been a slight mutiny and apparently we can merc 2 as trader and 3 and 4 as rivals, sorry for the confusion.

Changes noted, thanks for letting us know. For future reference it's probably for the best that any changes needed are communicated in a new forum post anyway, just so we don't miss it.

Match 3: 1 open Trader spot.
Match 4: Full.
Match 5: 1 open Rival spot, 2 open Trader spots.

uhm I'm pretty sure you just added 100 points for everyone for every win they had, although you shouldn't have....

That is what was missing actually. 300 for contract win split between them = 100 per win. Before it was just the kill points that had been recorded.

nope, that 100 poionts was recorded before. Teams were getting 135 points per win (minus 25 for signup). If you didn't record the hundred before, explain to me how did for example Crimson Sky Morepork reach 555 points in 2 wins. Should be 355, as you had there before. Hell, even before the winning teams had hundreds of points advantage over the losing ones, how would they get that with only points for kills? ;)

I see what happened. The first week it was counted correctly and then subsequent weeks the scores were just auto inputted since max score only changed when bonus was awarded. So 105 for 7 kills / 3 = 35 + 100 for win = 135. The lower end scores were the only ones that had to be calculated. Think part of this was due to the casters quoting 450 for bonus when its actually only 150. Caused me to re-look at it a moment. Then just simply forgot the original calculations had the totals already inputted. Was thinking things were possibly higher than were listed as.

If GOIO modding ever becomes a thing, I will pay actual monies for a mod that lets you put in parameters for tournament scoring and gets the game to calculate the scores itself :P

Very fair assessment. There has always been a problem with math related things in Aero. Just simply because we have to record and do all the inputting by hand. Would be interesting if there was a tournament mode where we could input the variables and the game would calculate for us. We'd still have to do manual recording for things like cargo swaps/etc. But just having it record the points then calculate score would help. Also giving the ability to enable log to file functionality where a spectator or really anyone in the match could record the combat log on their own system and then be able to go back through it afterwards.

Actually, think I'll write Muse a recommendation for that functionality right now.
