Use stamina to charge a minotaur shot.
Bigger the stamina use the bigger the push.
-
But that would make gunners useful...

But that would make gunners useful...
well it achieves two things.
1. mino is useful again.
2. you can't spam mino like you did b4.

Duuuude, now my ribs are hurting :D

This idea actually make sense.
I'm surprised.
-
Would make much more sense to have it as a secondary function of the gun than a 'stamina' thing.
-
Hold left click to build up air pressure.
Release left click to launch bean bag.
-
Pressure damages gun over time. Don't need stamina. Waiting to hold till the last second could cause a blast so powerful it would instakill any ship that gets smacked into a wall by it :D

I'm suggesting stamina because the mechanics are already there.
it naturally recharges and is used at a press of a button.
writing out a whole new mechanic that functions exactly the same is kinda wasteful.

This is such a sensible idea that I'm going: "how did nobody think of this before?!"
Muse needs to get on this.

Imagine fighting a Goldfish that has an Hwacha or any other ship with guns that destroys heavy gun with ease. How many shots do you get to charge before your gun is gone? If the current push is strong enough to keep ships at bay even in close range, then you don't need to charge them. If the current push is not enough and would be the strength of an uncharged shot then I don't see you being able to charge a shot before it is too late.
I like the basic idea though, it also enables the gunner to outsmart an enemy pilot since a pilot can currently time the shots and active kero/moonshine minimize the minotaurs push force.
Maybe instead of a bigger push you would get more projectile speed and maybe a small damage increase? Sniping components at range with the current minotaur won't happen and on its own the Minotaur isn't much more than a nuisance.
That chargable shot idea could work for other guns too, but it could also lead to a replacement of Lesmok rounds, making the gunner less necessary.
Chargable Harpoons!

1. Makes no sense to be a stamina thing.
2. You don't know how coding works, do you? This entire idea is a new mechanic. What you use to push the button to make it go is painting the bike shed.

It would make more sense to charge it by holding down the button and allowing the shot to "absorb" other shots in the clip. It's an interesting idea but there are no mechanics for it or through stamina. Another option is replacing the zoom function.

Technically speaking Charged Rounds are already a thing 8) (http://gunsoficarusonline.wikia.com/wiki/Charged_Rounds)

You'd be surprised how often I find myself thinking this.
I keep assuming its the ignorant teen in me (you know that phase in your life where you think all your ideas were profound and original), but no... people actually never thought to consider the possibilities.
The thought makes me sad.

So, I'm thinking...
Charging Minotaur shots increases accuracy and decreases that buckshot spread. Maybe even give a slight increase to push force.
I'm not sure how that will work with other ammo types, such as heavy rounds.
Unless every gun gets to charge a shot with stamina, Pairing charging shots with stamina doesn't seem too sensible. As I assume LeMoon was pointing out, stamina and charing shots seem to be completely different mechanics.

**Necromancy**
Now that the Voltaic Coil is a thing, should this not also be a thing?
Why is there not the thing?
