4vs4 is great. Someting like 12vs12 could be... epic like Trafalgar

That would require 96 players, ~1/5 of the playerbase on a good day and the lag would be unbearable

That said, it would be a hilarious mess, and I'd love to see it happen, even if it is entirely impractical

Yeah at this scale we're going to have to play eve (slow) or wait for star citizen (even slower)

12 Galleons, 24 hwachas, 576 rockets

Pick 2 or 3 ships at medium-long range and make them disappear.

On a more helpful note - I think co-op has a mode planned with your team of 4 ships + AI allies vs many AI opponents. Assault mode i think it was called, i could be misunderstanding/remembering it though.

Other than that when adventure mode is out some time 2030 or so it may be possible for larger numbers of ships to arrive in the same area and fight.

Honestly yes it is.something that would be epic! But I think will just be the stuff of dreams...

I desire to see a match like this, but one where only munkers fly. 8v8=400 mines...........commence drooling and maniacal laughter.

Devs have been asked many times about 5v5 or more and every time the answer was no. Because playerbase, because maps, because servers, because lag, etc.

Would be cool? Probably.
