(I've decided to make this thread to narrate the courses of an event I've set up in the currently active RP Tavern, I only request those who have agreed to participate ICly to post here, but I can allow you in if you just holler me a quick PM Special thanks to Burning Skies for providing me an adequate format to follow and RP by, you guys were awesome in your day \o/)
**Nathaniel slowly climbs on his squid, "Greasy Dream" is imprinted on it's back with light green dye and an eagle figurehead on it. He starts loading some of the small, green striped boxy-crates on his boat, glancing at the bar entrance every now and then to see who's coming."

Getting on board his Goldfish, Valkyrie, Carn unfolds the surprise project he had been working on. Two pennants now fly from the rigging on the front of the ship, black triangles with a red dragons head, combined with the fact he had managed to alter the lions heads on the Prometheus to dragon heads, and the somewhat hastily made ramming prow on the front, gave an intimidating impression.
"ALL ABOARD!! We've got a job to do, sooner we get it done, the sooner we get paid."

**Nathaniel barks, "Horrington! Cut those ropes, we're settin' off!"
**Horrington, his main engineer, responds with a humble stance and tone under his gruff and large beard, "Aye, Peppin'." He begins to dislodge the ship from it's docks, yet still giving some time for [ShadeExalt] to hop aboard
**Nathaniel glances by the flashy ram, "Not just killing, but lookin' mighty fine while doin it, aren't ya?" He smirks, raising his voice at [Carn] "Very modest of you."

smirking at Nataniel
"What? Kill 'em with style! This ship is my baby, and im gonna spoil her!"

"I wouldn't wanna be your wife." He says outloud, nonchalant of Carn's past.
"But I would want to get off this rock already. What happened to the rest?"
-
"Probably packing up, for all i know Koali might be onboard already, he's small enough. Ah there's George!"
(you agreed to it, im just writing you in to progress the story)

"Yup, I'm over here."
*Waves from the Prometheus's seat.*
"I'll just have a little snooze while we fly; wake me up if you need me."
*[Carn] and [George] look at each other, slightly nervously. "Is gonna turn into a rock again? That could be a problem if he unbalances the ship..."*
Koali's Stone form is freakishly dense, to the point of potentially invalidating physics. This is, of course, highly inconvenient on an airship. However, Kirbies are also capable of sleeping normally.
*Sleeps normally without converting to Stone form. [Carn] and [George] let out a sigh of relief.*

shakes head
"Mind snoozing in another spot? If i have to jump down there to use that thing i dont want to sit on you."

*Shaded sprints out from the tavern, legs pumping, and vaults onto the Squid.*
"I'M HERE!"
*He takes a second to acquaint himself before turning to [Nathaniel].*
"Am I gungineer?"

"Sure, whatever you fancy." He steps on the helm, whistling at his Goldfish ally to break off.

grinning Carn yells out
"Lets sail laddies!"
the two crews start off towards Yesha and their smuggling job, each one in it for his own reasons

*Koali lets out a snore whose force causes him to roll out of the Prometheus's seat and bounce across the deck until he settles next to the hull.*
There, I moved.

chuckling
"Well thats one way to do it."

**A flickering static comes in from Carn's helm, it sounds like a radio.

flicks open the com
"That you Nathaniel?"
-
"No, it's the flippin' Anglean Special Forces, we missed you so much." Nathaniel responds mockingly, "I've happened to sneak in a surprise overnight. Has about six batteries in a bag nearby it, but it drains pretty fast, you don't wanna go beyond small talks. Speaking of, according to my map we're somewhere around Izumi now, not too far from the guild, but that's why I got the cargo so early. What route do you fancy taking? We can go straight for Yao Ling but then the arashi'll have our bums. If not, we can try circling around Abyssal Gulf, but sea storms are likely and we'll have to deal with Yeshan patrols who won't just casually let us fly by their capital with contra.
"Or we can be madmen and go straight through Arashi Desert's heart and hunt a few bounties along the way. What do you fancy?"

"I say, we head to Landmark first, its got a decent market, we can refuel and pickup supplies from there, after that id say a straight shot through the standard path, first naufrage, then sabia, and lastly the pass. Once we hit the canyons we should be fine, i know how to navigate those things, and we've enough firepower to deter most pirates, as for the Arashi, thats why we have guns isn't it? And im not a fan of the desert, habit formed of growing up nest to glaciers."

He opens his eyes. This isn't where he fell asleep.
"Carn?" He calls out cautiously. He jumps up, and checks his body. His organs are still intact. Good.

"Ah there you are George! Sorry about that, but we needed to head out and you were unconscious. Dont worry, i put your bag in the crew quarters."
-
"Alright, cheers Carn. I'm gunna go grab some whale meat, then I'll be back. What do you need me to do?"
-
"Im gonna be burning Kerosene off and on for awhile, keep the engines up, and since your my secondary pilot, we may aswell take shifts every couple of hours."
-
"Fair enough. I'll be right back, just gunna go grab some grub. You want anything?"
-
"Nah im good, got some smoked salmon on me."
-
"Suit yourself" he says as he makes a lunge towards some salted whale meat, before changing his mind and grabbing a haunch of Dune Goat. He takes a bite. "It's good, wild meat? Or domesticated"

squints at the haunch
"Crud i'd forgotten about that goat. Shot him maybe a week ago."
-
He laughs
"Never saw it coming, eh? Yeah, that's my kind of hunting!"
-
shrugs
"It wasn't that impressive of a goat honestly, when we're in Anglea i'll show you some real hunting, walrus's are a bit more interesting then goats"
-
And so the band takes to the skies for Yao-Ling pass, each pursuing their own interests in this fragile alliance.
(I'll be off shortly, so we'll start the next chapter tomorrow, you can however still RP)

"Walrus...I've heard about those...are those the things that look like deflated sky whales?"
-
shakes his head
"A good bit smaller then one of those, but a bull walrus can easily be twice as big as a full grown man, and they've got tusks."
Fishes out a carved walrus tusk from a pocket, its roughly 8 inches long
"They've got two of those, and they keep em sharp. The ivory will fetch a fair price. That one is carved for good luck."

*Shaded has squeezed himself into the small space by the hull, settling down for a nap.*
"I'll be sleeping, [Nathaniel], if you need a break let me know."

*Wakes up to a growling stomach.*
"Urg... I need food."
*Sees the meat.*
"Hmm... Looks good, but... It lacks a certain je ne sais quoi."
*Dons a chef hat.*
"It's time to cook!"
-
"DO NOT use any of the powders in the hold. Those are not for cooking, those are for making grenades."

*There is a "WHOOMPH" and a blackened [Koali] looks unamusedly at [Carn].*
"In the hold, you say? You didn't bother sweeping up the deck, did you?"
-
"There may have been some flash powder that i didn't get. What can i say? I just didn't want you cooking with the stuff, the ones that dont ignite into open fire, would poison us upon ingestion. There's some dry rations aboard, i was planning on picking more supplies when we reach landmark tomorow."

"What exactly is in these dry rations? And did we bring water?"

(About the walrus)
"Hmm, that rings a bell. I think I saw one mounted on a decommissioned pyramideon once."
He takes the tusk, study's it, and hands it back.
"For good luck you say? I've got this...it's meant to be a Phoenix claw"
He pulls it out from beneath his shirt.
"But I'm not sure that it is, could be a dust gull."

"There's a way to test that. [George], take the helm for a moment, and hold the talon in your hand."
*George takes the helm.*
"Alright, now give us a little starboard turn."
*The entire ship whirls around faster than a Spire, throwing everyone off balance.*
"STOP! How far did you turn the wheel?"
[George] replies, "About 30 degrees."
"Then yes, it's a Phoenix Claw."
This is where [Nathaniel] kindly asks us what the !@#&% we're doing.

''I'll explain when we land.''
''George careful with that. The engines took some damage from that.''

Chapter 1
"**Inbetween the team's desire to get to Landmark and the Goldfish's odd manouvers, a wild storm approaches from the direction of Abyssal Gulf Sea. While it is distant, both ships can already feel it's effect from miles away."
**Nathaniel flickers in his radio, "Just once, I'd like something in this world to go smoothly. He glances back at the approaching storm a bit, before hailing on his radio again,
"I heard you weren't a fan of deserts, Carn. You may have to reconsider that.

"Can we outrun it? Or do we need to change course?"
-
"We can try, but we'll most likely either smack into something and die or lose a lotta' cargo. Now there's no way in hell I'd give up an ounce of those, we need that money. We can however, try circling through Arashi."

(sorry about the delay, i had church)
"Ah hell!"
Turns course to the desert
"Great, out of the rainstorm and into sandstorms. Whatever you do, do not pursue any arashi pirates, they like to piss off ships and lure them into sandstorms."

"Does this hunk look like a Galleon to you? We'll fare just fine, chase or not" He says nonchalantly
"But first things first, we can't cross the whole damn desert with just our teeth and paws. How's our water supply looking?"
-
"Gah! I was planning to resupply in Landmark! I know of a few oasis a day or two in, beyond that we may need to send hunting teams, to resupply or food."

"We'll head for that then. I dont trust Arashi's for their intellect, but they'd atleast be smart enough to populate resourceful lands. Expect a fully fledged town and pray they're not hostile. Any last thoughts?"

"Hostiles won't be a problem. Napalm and water supply will, though."
-
"If we can find some, we should probably get sand cloaks, and something to cover ours faces in the event of sandstorms. The Arashi are pretty smart, they know how to use the desert to fight for them. But as long as we pay the coin and leave soon, i dont think they'll be too irritated with us."

"Or perhaps we can try manouvering around those or simply getting to the Oasis as soon as we can. We didn't leave with a fish and squid for no reason."

"Oh, the irony! Two sea creatures, left to search for water!"
-
"Alright if we burn kerosene constantly we can keep pace with you Nathaniel."
down to the crew
"Pick an engine each of you! I want you to treat that engine like its your child, when it gets hurt fix it, and dont leave it alone!"
starts up kerosene and the two ships start racing to the oasis

(Sorry for the absence, different time zones etc)
He sticks by the main engine, up by the balloon, and sits down, with his legs trailing off of the side.

*Stands between turning engines, wrench at the ready.*
-
And our irrelevant heroes take to the Arashi's fierce skies, in search of survival.
(Will start the next chapter tomorrow aswell, this is slowly becoming a daily thing)

"I do hope someone decided to wind up the bartender, he can't go for very long without being wound up by someone else."

"George, take the helm for awhile'
Carn and George swap spots. Noticing some movement of their port bow, Carn takes out his spyglass
"BLAST!"
Carn runs up to the radio and contacts Nathaniel
"WE'VE GOT RAIDERS TO THE WEST OFF THE PORT BOW, 1 KILOMETER OUT AND CLOSING IN. 1 junker with a sniper sniper aimed at us, and 2 squids. Looks like they are on an intercept course."

*Shaded hops up, letting his Spyglass slide out of his sleeve and into his hand. He raises it to his face and grimaces.*
"Junker looks like it's got a few rockets, a Mercury, and... Oh fuck, a Hades. Besides that, we have a disable Squid like our own and an attack Squid."

"We've got the heavy flamer and 2 gatlings, and i unfortunately know their leader. He calls himself the Desert Viper, the kind of guy that would set a baby on fire for fun. Long story short, my old unit wiped out most of his group but he escaped, now it seems he's reforming."

"Why don't we say hi to him over the radio to see if we can get him sentimental?" Nathaniel smirks, what seems to be a mocking remark soon is realized to be a serious suggestion after a moment of silence.

"What part about, sets babies on fire for fun, do you not understand?"
the artemis and mercury start firing
"SHIT! The squids are coming in! George stay on the helm! Koali fix things and blast them with your hwacha when you can! I'm on the prometheus, and Roxane!"
Carn flips the stock out and attaches an extension to Roxane turning the rifle into a sniper. Then he starts firing on the squids which are out of range of the prometheus

"There's a wreckage nearby, we can take cover before they outrange us! And if the squids follow us in they're easy meat as it is!" Nathaniel shouts under the various projectiles whizzing by his ship.

"Sounds good, give me 30 seconds straight on a squid with this thing and it'll be in trouble!"

The two ships head for a massive remains of two wide towers, they give the feeling as if this was an airbase.
But suddenly, the Artemis hits an engine of Greasy Dream. This coupled with the fact that it's been burning kerosene towards the wreckage, stops it from functioning entirely. While he retains somewhat of a mobility from his ship, the squids are closing in fast and it looks like he won't be able to get out of it so easily.
"Carn, change of plans, get back out here and fend these snotballs off!"
"Shaded, DO YOU SEE THIS PIPE I'M SMOKING? I WANT THAT ENGINE REBUILT BEFORE I FINISH IT."

"George! Lets go make some calamari!"

Although the situation is looking dire for the Greasy Dream, it suddenly drops a gigantic tar cloud as the squids are close by. One of them caught helpless, and the other barely managing to manouver out but not without losing an engine. The junker doesnt quite have a sight on them as of now.
"That's what it was made for." Nathaniel sighs in relief before cracking a grin towards the cloud.

releasing a maniacal laugh, Carn fires the Prometheus into onto the squid trapped in the tar cloud, within a minute it is falling down to the ground.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!!!!"

**Nathaniel's ship swiftly pops the other's balloon before dusting off the area, he takes notice of the junker who already seems to be moving in to regain arcs, "I'll rush that thing down, bring me roasted squids in the meanwhile." He sets his pipe aside, tapping kerosene again.

"That squid has lost its balloon men! Lets go put it out of its misery!"
The same process happens to the other squid, though as its already damaged, it crumbles in roughly 30 seconds
"Now, lets take care of that junker, i've got old business to settle."

"It'll be easier if they can't move!"
*Koali takes a huge breath and floats into the air. He maneuvers above the junker and assumes his Stone form. He crashes down on the Junker, tearing a huge hole in its balloon and making a large dent just beside its hull unit. His massive weight causes the Junker to plop down to the ground, unable to move.*
I've opted not to roast them yet, so you guys can attend to your unfinished business.

"Nice one! Now its my turn."
unhooking bloodsong from his belt Carn leaps onto the junker
"Miss me?"

*While Shaded had a bit of trouble at first, he quickly acclimates to the hectic pace of squid engineering.*
"Aye, cap, already up. I have basically one of every tool in my jacket, so I'm equipped for everything. If you need me to tune the engines, just ask."
*Shaded proceeds to draw his revolver, with a new, extra long heavy barrel.*
"Juuust in case."
((The Khovansky Special Jacket is so expansive I've decided it has hammerspace akin to Koali's Kirby abilities.))

**Nathaniel draws an old megaphone from a nearby chest, screaming at the top of his lungs from his helm, "THIS IS THE GREASY DREAM, YOU ALL COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS OUT, WEAPONS ON THE GROUND AND PANTS DAMN WELL BURIED UNDER THE SAND OR WE WILL COOK YOU HOTTER THAN THE SUN." He passes the helm to Shaded, hopping down with his menacing flintlocks
(Carn has the pleasure of controlling the actions of anyone aboard the junker as he's the one who made them up)

*Shaded jumps onto the helm, moving the ship slightly so that the flamer is pointing at the Junker, simultaneously getting a feel for the ship, and motioning for whoever is left on the Goldfish to turn the Prometheus into arc.*
"I can hit from here if need be, so you can count on somebody having your back."
*Cocks the hammer.*

(oh goody!)
desert vipers crew toss down their weapons, the Viper himself has a different idea
(Viper) "I know that axe, you were with that group that almost killed me before."
(Carn) "How kind of you to remember."
(Viper) "Anglean dog, your willing to blast my ships out but you wont challenge me personally?"
(Carn) "Well fellas it looks like im gonna show you why this axe is called Bloodsong"
starting to spin the axe around, the strange alloy it is made of starts emmiting a humming sound
"You think i wont finish the job? You attack my convoy and my ship, you risk the job im on, and worse are making me late for the trip back home. Yeah just draw that sabre of yours, see if it can match my axe."
the Viper proceeds to do just that and the two go into a flurry, Nathaniel is unable to get a bead on him and so makes sure the crew doesn't get any ideas. The fights lasts for 5 minutes, the sabre darting in and out aswell as slashing, the axe batting it asside and stricking in massive looping blows. It ends when the Viper misses a step and Bloodsong cleaves into the spot where the neck and shoulder meet.
(Carn) "Nobody is going to make me late to see Ingur."

**Nathaniel shrugs at the fight, leaving the two lovers to their honeymoon as he simply jumps inside the junker in search of valuables.
After the fight is over, he runs back out on the junker's top deck, "Excuse me to interrupt your lovely moment but- oh. Nevermind, it's over already. You may want to look at this however." he yells, notioning towards the lower deck.

*Shaded sets down the Squid, vaulting off the side and walking over to Nathaniel, gun still out and ready.*
"What... The hell... Is that?"

"More like WHY THE HELL is there so much of it?!" He points at the extraordinary amount of crates filled with fresh water, "Forget the Oasis, this is enough to cross Anglea and back to the bar!"
He peeks his head out at the rest of the Viper crew, "Do you gents mind if we erh, obtain possession of some of these?"
He whispers back to Shaded, "By some I mean all.

yanking out Bloodsong Carn yells back
"Just a second."
he proceeds to search the Viper's corpse and finds among some coins, weapons, and poisons, a contract stating that he was to steal their shipment.
"Alright what is it, and your gonna want to read this."

"That's exactly what I mean! He must have raided every ship he came across to collect this much... But how did he lift it? A Mobula or a Galleon, sure, but a Junker? We should check the balloon, see what's what."

"Carn? What should I do?"
He says taking off his goggles and placing them around his head.

**Nathaniel glances at the paper, "Oh, this? You're surprised? Are you expecting us to go on a vendetta? No sir, this was expected from the start. I'm not sure if anyone else has this contract but they soon will, I bet. We're not carrying a bunch of bobby pins here."

"George hold position for now, we're gonna search this thing then we need to figure out what to do with these chumps."
to Nathaniel
"Im not gonna leave 3 men in the desert without water, scum or not thats a bad way to die, i say we strip them of they're weapon give them each a waterskin and send them off, after they go we blast whats left of this thing. My point though is that we now know it, and whoever they are they are willing to hire some serious scum."

"NO!"
*Shaded gestures wildly at the water.*
"Do you have ANY IDEA HOW HEAVY THAT IS? There MUST be something strange about that balloon!"

"He does have a valid point, that much water will weigh a couple hundred pounds at least, combined with the crew and weapons.....thats a freaking ton of weight. The average junker couldn't maintain flight, let alone combat."

"Guys...I found a wounded man...he's been shot in the leg."
He calls out to the rest of the group
"What should I do?"

He coughs, he is clearly delirous
"Water..."
-
"I'm more in line of leaving them to a born-in-desert-die-in-desert sort of fate, but I agree it may be a liiittle too much. Let's check the balloon and see what voodoo magic lies in there so we know how these guys lifted it."
"Oh, wounded man? Toss him with the Arashi I 'spose, we don't have time for babysittin'."
(My apologies Adam)

*Shaded calms down slightly.*
"Thank you for finally listening."
*He whips out his pipe wrench, and a trench knife.*
"Now to pry the component free, deflate the balloon, and pack it all up for later. Think you'll have room on the 'Fish? Dibs on it, by the way, but I'll let you guys know if I find something once we're back at The TavernTM."
*He turns to George, and says,*
"Bring him over here. If he cooperates I'll see what I can do."

"Or we can do that." He remarks at Shaded regarding the wounded man, masking back his crude nature.

He grabs the wounded man by his collar, and half drags half carries him back to our own ship. He rather roughly drops him down onto the deck. He still is not fully conscious.
"Carn, what do we do with him now?"
-
*I calmly kneel down in front of the man, a smile on my face.*
"So, how are you doing today? Bad? Aww, I can sympathize."
((Turst me Keb I am going to so brutal you don't even know.
That is, ofc, if I can before I leave.))

I manage to say few words while half-consious
"who... who are you?"
-
"Bind him up, stop the bleeding and give him something to drink, then im going to have a little chat with him. He isn't in the same outfit as the others, he may be with them, or he may be a prisoner of theirs, either way he sticks out so im talking to him first. And yes shaded put the balloon thing on hear, but not next to the grenade barrel or the powders."
He points to a barrel marked as "Assorted Grenades"

"Here's another idea. Shaded, put the "balloon thing" right next to the grenade barrel. Carn, dispose of the barrel that we most likely won't need so we can make room. Preferably on that junker. Rest of you, fill the bay with as much water as you can. There will likely be more than enough left for these pathethic tribesmen."

He grabs, lighter this time and ties him to an engine. He grabs a cup of water, and throws it over Adam. He then fetches another cup, and hands it to him, as he slowly regains consciousness.
"Here, drink this."

"Hey its my ship, that barrel is strategically placed so i can throw random grenades at people on other ships, believe me its fun, i'll set up the explosives on the junker, when that guy starts talking clearly i wanna talk to him. We may as well strip search the junker, see if we can get any useful or expensive parts, same with the squids, though i doubt there's much on them anymore..."

After taking a sip i asked
"Thank you... who are you? what will you do to me?"
I say with a frightened voice

"We are business men, i am Carn captian of this vessel, who are you? Were you crewing on that junker?"
points to the wreck

"I was an engineer. Thought it would be a good place to use my skills. I had to pay few depts you see..." i say with a sad voice "At first, these men looked like business men, like you" i point with my head " but then i realised they were barbarians... When you attacked us, the captain orderred me to shoot, but i refused and got shot instead." i say with my head looking at my wounded leg.

"Sounds very much like slavery. I'm Nathaniel Von Exeteer, I run the show here for the moment and I say you'd make a good fit for Carn's fish." He says so with a reassuring tone, yet out of some sort of spite for outsiders."
Before breaking off the land, he yells back at Carn, "Does this viper-man or anyone else crewing on him in particular, have a bounty by any chance?"

"Let me see the slug you pulled out shaded."
shaded hands him the slug, carn then pulls out the pistol he took off the Viper
"Yeah looks like the right kind of slug, we are not in his kind of business, you can stay on this ship until we hit the next port then we can figure out what to do."
starts thinking
"Yeah i'd imagine theres a good bounty on the bastard, hmmm we should recover the brand on his shoulder, man i hate doing this stuff."
goes over with a hunting knife and proceeds to collect proof of death

"Oh boy, I was just about to advise you to keep him alive incase before you went on butchering him for sport. Could have gotten more for a live one. Now let's take off, shall we? I'll set course for Naufrage and we'll resupply there."
End of Chapter 1

"I ain't wasting all this water."
*Swallows several of the water barrels, keeping them in his internal hammerspace/pocket dimension for safekeeping.*
"Now, I say we test Adam's fortitude."
*Holds up a smoking mug of Hellfire.*
Do we really need chapters? I think we should head back to the Tavern.

(we havent finished the job Koali)
"Yeah i dont think Hellfire is the right thing to give him, and dude that water better be sealed, cause that is gross."

"What do you propose you give him then?"
-
(Well, we have a job to do canonically. We can rush it a bit if you want.)

"Water, and possibly teas, or something that helps the healing process. I dont know, my medical knowledge is pretty much just patch em up so they can kill more people, combat medicine. Not suited for this scenario."

"Where would I find the tea?"
-
"Yeah dude i dont know, i've got grenades, stuff to make grenades, and booze on this ship. Plus the cargo, but we aren't gonna mess with that. Just give him water, we'll be in port soon enough."

"Alright"
He hands Adam another cup of water.

"thank you... Its still better than the disgusting booze i had to drink on the previous ship" i said as i took the cup

"Not a big drinker, eh?"

squints at the new guy
"I suggest you dont join us for booze roulette in that case. Whats your name anyways."

(He just told me he has to study)
Adam lapses into unconsciousness, clearly the desert heat is getting to him.
"Perfect" George says sarcastically "We needed a ballast"

I understand you were eager for fireworks, but seriously. Step up your game, Carn.
There is a hiss as the spark travels along the fuse. It reaches the Powder Keg and everything is silent for a split second. There is a detonation not unlike the flatulence of Zeus, and the resulting shockwave rocks the Squid and the Goldfish like wine corks in a tsunami. Everyone's hair is blown into an interesting 'Swept' style. The mighty borborygmus is heard for miles, with small desert-dwelling creatures emerging from their burrows to see the colossal mushroom cloud.
Koali, of course, is launched skyward by the sheer force of the blast.
Carn and Nathaniel luckily avoid Koali as he crashes down in the dunes, creating a large crater.

"One, I can pilot just as well if not better than most, and two, what the hell did you mean by greasing my engines?"
*Shaded yells over the radio at [Koali].*

**Nathaniel raises his head a bit from his little bunk "Who let the gods mate on my ship?!"

George comes back walking onto the main deck
"Well, no point going to sleep now, what's on the agenda Carn?"

*Awakens from Stone form.*
"I don't even know if he's in a state to actually answer that. We should probably help Adam. Oh, and [Shaded], mind your language."

"Whoa there, Koa boy. [Shaded] is a part of my crew, and for as long as he is I say noone's going to school his tongue and I won't let any who tries. He may talk like a brat, but he's my brat."
"Now shaded, how -fucking- beautiful was that again?" He smirks back at his crewmate.

"We may be sailors, but we're more than that. Don't make me enforce it."

"I don't mind what you make of us at all Koali. The problem starts when you enforce it aboard this squid. Now let me nap in peace, would you?"

waking up suddenly from behind the grenade barrel
"Whose the...? What? Oh, how far out are we from Yao Ling?"

"I can't give you the exact numbers, but we're ten minutes away from docking at Kugel!"
The band of not-so-brothers arrive at Kugel, one of the Arashi cities around outskirts. This small, but rather evolved town treats the heroes rather kindly as demonstrated by the young, thin boys around their 16s carrying their cargo bulk outside.
"Greetings, earth-kin! Take a peek and you definitely will find what you seek." A man greets them with a smooth voice and a humble smile, you can tell he values the profit he makes from outsiders.
The man wasn't lying at all, the town has several attractions for the heroes including a gunsmith with exquisite looking rifles at the front of their store, a local goods exchange, a basic looking medical bay, a "companion" house, and most importantly the local Tavern.
Nathaniel throws a glance back at the crew, "I'll see to it that the stuff we picked up from Viper's delivered and paid for by tomorrow, Horrington will keep watch on our ships, rest of you can have your shore leave for a little while."

"I think I'll be joining you, I've got his proof of death. Plus i captain the other ship. Koali, go pick up whatever ingredients you feel are necessary. George, take Adam and see if you can find a doc to take a look at his leg, after that your free to do as you want."

"I was thinking they'd all have the common sense to do exactly what you've just said. But ah yes, the bounty. You'd have to drop that at the City Watch. I'll maaaaybe try and haggle a good price at the store in the meanwhile. And oh yes, we also need to resupply , I'll handle that aswell. "

shrugging"Well i thought id remove some margin of error, I'm off to city hall then."

Adam, once he had vomited up the contents of his guts was much lighter, George began to carry him with little difficulty.

He makes his way to what appears to be a doctors.

entering city hall Carn glances at the bounty board and thankfully, there is a bounty of 8000 gold dead or alive for the Viper. Going up to a clerk "I would like to turn in a bounty.'
(Clerk) "For who? I don't see a prisoner."
(Carn) tossing out the patch of skin with the Viper's tattoo on it "The Desert Viper is dead."

I nervously approach the bounty board with the expectation to see my name there "A..... A.... Andrew..." After a while i sigh, knowing that my name isn't on the board "Thank god..." i said to myself.

George walks through the doctor surgery, the doctor looks up, his hands still inside his patient's chest cavity.
Doctor: Ah hello, welcome to the Chop Shop, got a patient with you?
The doctor puts emphasis on the word patient
George: Yeah, he's here.
Doctor: Perfect, just put him down in that chair
George sits down, and looks over at the current "patients" chart. He came in here for a toe infection.
He brings this fact to Adams attention.

"Is this a doctor or a butcher?" i ask myself, feeling uneasy from what i see. I slowly look at George sitting and gazing somewhere else, not paying attention to the scene before us.

"Adam! This guy isn't a doctor! The patient came in for a toe infection! He's got his guts out for gods sake! We have to get out of here!"

George slowly makes his way to the exit, gesturing to Adam to follow.

Meanwhile Nathaniel,Casually walking in the local exchange, he orders the boys to clumsily carry the cargo in, "Mornin'."
(Clerk) "Yeah, what's your business?" The clerk responds grumpily, not particularly in the brightest of his days.
(Nathaniel) I present you, 180 pounds of pure water, two Fenrir-tribe-class modified Arashi pistols, 80 pounds of chocolate and 40 bobby pins. Might I interest you in any? All of the ingredients can be transported just for 4120 gold. Infact, should you chose to buy in a bulk, we'll give you the bobby pins for free! Which would then make it 4100 gold. Not a particularly bad offer, is it?"

(Clerk) "T-th-the Viper! you killed him?!
(Carn) "You do see the patch of his skin in front of you right?"
(Clerk) "This is above my pay grade, i'll need to get my superiors."
(Carn) "Ugh, just hurry, cant wait in port to long."

Koali encounters none of the strange things that the others do, although he does draw stares. He simply strolls over to the bazaar and peruses the various stalls of fruit, meat, and spices, taking in the delicious smells and imagining what he could cook with all this. He finds a stall selling particularly hot peppers, perfect for cooking something spicy without the sheer pain of Lochnagar powder. He purchases a small sack of the peppers for a handful of silver.
Just pretend I also wrote the part where I buy a bunch of other stuff.

George reaches out and grabs the handle.
Doctor: Oh, you surely aren't leaving yet?
George: Yes, actually, I forgot, I had to...
Doctor: It wasn't a question, it was a statement. You aren't leaving yet.
The doctor locks the door.
Doctor: Now get back and sit down, and I will be with you in a minute...
Doctor: (singing while performing surgery) If I had a baby bird...I would wait for it's song...to be heard for oh so long...then when it surely learnt to fly...I'd bash it in and it would die...
George: (to himself) Why didn't I get a radio!...wait a second...
George opens his bag of tools.
George: Yes!
The surgeon looks up and George hurriedly hides the radio.
George: (Whispers to himself) but what frequency?
Radio frequency 100: This is GNR! Your...
Radio frequency 105: (classical music plays)
The surgeon looks up again
Surgeon: Can you be quiet! I am trying to save my patient!
(The patient is quite clearly dead)
Radio frequency 107 (Carn): Ugh, just hurry, cant wait in port to long.
George: Carn! Carn! (Just a loud whisper) Some psycho in the hospital is doing some weird shit, I need help, now!

after 3 hours of "contacting superiors" Carn receives the bounty of 8000 gold
"Gah, stupid bureaucrats, alright, may as well get something useful." heading down to the gun market he finds a somewhat small, lever action carbine. "I'll take this."
(Gunsmith) "Ah a nice piece, though a tad small for you i think."
(Carn) "Its not for me. thank you."
wrapping up the carbine and putting in a sling across his back, Carn hears George on the radio
(George) "Some psycho in the hospital is doing some weid shit, I need help, now!"
Carn starts running to the hospital, which is thankfully on the same block as the gunsmith. Bursting in with Roxane at the ready Carn sees whats going on
(Carn) "George take this," handing him the pistol he took off the Viper, a 45. calliber with a good rate of fire "Now then doc, i think i'll be checking my crewman here out of the hospital."

The doctor presses a button on the table, and the corpse springs to life
George: What the...
The corpses head remains limp, while it makes a clumsily grab at George, causing George to fire twice into the corpse, resulting in exactly no change in it's animation. During the commotion, the doctor slips out of the back door.

George jumps behind Carn in a flurry of what can only be described as awesomeness, as the explosion behind him sets the creature ablaze. A low moan emirates from it's open chest.

I begin to run, practically dragging Adam with me, a similar moan echoes behind us, confirming the creatures survival.
"How?! We blew up half the street!"

"Ah screw, bullets holes wont kill it, keep running try to find guards or get back to the ship and get her over here." stopping and unhooking Bloodsong from his belt, Carn advances on the creature"Well if bullets wont kill you, then id say its time to chop you up into little tiny pieces, what do you say?"

proceeding to work himself into the bererker rage that the vast majority of Angleans soldiers can do, he starts in what some ways can be described as a "field dissection" or "spinning mass of blood and metal"

getting a tad bored as the crazy doctor somehow boosted the things healing rate, Carn hacks a hole in its chest, pulls out a napalm grenade, and then proceeds to shove it in the creature, which seconds later is a writhing mass of burning flesh

Finishes his apple and throws the core on the writhing corpse.
"What the hell was that..."

**Footsteps echo throughout the hospital. They're so loud that noone in this town's ever heard shoes this good.
**It's nathaniel. He walks at the group with his crimson flintlock, glancing at the undead corpse. "So uh. Did you or did you not find a doctor?"

"I might have seen some before. It just didn't trigger in my mind at the time that they were...deceased...I figured they may have been suffering from slackjoint...obviously not though..."

"Dont ask, though the mutant plant one is interesting and slightly funny. And Nathaniel, i really dont know what the blithering hell is going on here."

A crowd is slowly gathering around the ruined clinic.

*Lands next to the crew carrying several bags of fruit, spices, and fresh meat.*

"Hey! he bailed out after sicking his pet on us, we had some more immediate priorities. Koali, ask George, all i know, is that this was a dead body, and then it tried to kill us."

"Well, who else can pull out two inches of cyllinder lead out of this man's leg? He couldn't have gotten far I say. Apprehend this man and subject him to being more of a doctor and less of a butcher.I don't care what he's done or who he's killed, he's our link to taking care of Adam as soon as possible and we won't slaughter him "for what he's done" until he gives us what we need."

"Hey i already pulled out the slug, i just wanted a proffesional to take a look at it. You know, redo any stiches, check for infection, that kind of thing, that slug has been out soon after we picked him up."

"And if I see anything missing, I'll whack you upside the head with the back side of a Dynabuff hammer. Right, let's go find that butcher!"

"If you really wanna' rush, we can bring him aboard with us and throw him off to the gorram' duststorms when we're done. But we'll think about that when we find him. You wanna check out the bar first? Really darn crowded there, easy to hide."

"Yeah, sure, why not. Honestly though, i think we're better off with just finding another guy to patch him up. This town is big enough for more then one doctor, pluuuuus since i collected the bounty on the Viper, i ahh met some officials and may be able to pull some strings to get someone to take a look at him."

*Applies a gauze pad and secures it with a bandage.*
"Just sit still until we land. Have some whisky if you need to deaden the pain."
*Hands Adam a bottle of Scotch.*

Now you guys are going to have to deal with me burning moonshine for a couple of hours straight, i want the engines all functioning, congratulations, these setbacks have regressed me to military sergeant. LETS MOVE IT!!"
The two ships start running moonshine barely out of the docks, shooting past sabia the head to Yao Ling to finish their job

Owning to George's rapid departure to the main group, he is already back at the ship. He places down the groceries, and sits down on a chair.

George, curious about the twisted mass of reanimated flesh, leaves the ship, and returns to the corpse. He picks it up, and peers inside the slowly smouldering hole in its chest. The whole thing is run by gears!. He looks around as the citizens of the town slowly go back to their everyday lives. Making a decision, George picks up the corpse, and hauls it back to the ship.
(EDIT: I did not realise that we were already flying, just imagine I did this before we left.)

22 hours later. Nathaniel's ship is running just fine and comfy as Carn molests his engines to keep up with his pace. Barely avoiding the duststorms marching from Arashü to Yeshan borders, they finally arrive at the swampy transit station named Yao Ling pass.
"Gentlemen, we've arrived at Yao Ling pass it seems. Standing here today, having done the not-so-impossible, aren't you bunch proud? I'd like to urge you not to sissy out two steps from the door, however merrier it makes my pay grade for you to do so.

"...Take them off or something, I'm gonna go in there and talk to our guy."

motion to the crews of both ships Carn has them scrape of the markings then drop them off, sending back the rest except for himself and Koali, the two keep an eye on the cargo. "Oh Koali here been meaning to give you your cut from the bounty, 1000 gold." tossing the kirby a sack full of coins

George, unknown to the rest of the crew has been studying the corpse. By the time they react their destination, he has removed the flesh off of the endoskelton. He hears Carn's words through his bunk door.
"Hey Carn, what about my share?"

"Here, 1000 gold, ummmmm what exactly are you doing with that on my ship?"

George turns around, and notices that his door has opened. Shit.
"It's erm...it's...well...I just wanted to see how it worked...and...well...watch..."
George pushes a button on the back of the metal framework, and the endoskeleton jumps to life, but remains upright, and does not make any norther movements. After a while it's chest twitches, and sparks fly out, causing it to collapse into fits. George turns it off.

"That thing goes crazy, im tying it to you and dumping you in the desert."

"Remember the rust mites? Trust me. It worked last time."

"Yeah, unless those fix faulty wiring too, i dont see how they'd help it from going crazy."

**Meanwhile, at the town hall, Nathaniel walks in with the finest and most expensive clothes he's ever worn ever since this voyage, aiming to make a decent impression of class to appeal to his buyer. (Nathaniel) Ah. Legal Yeshan goods. No sir, we've done all we can ensure they were safe. Not even the air could touch it until we brought it.
(General) Very well. One more thing however, you're four days behind expected schedule. This is a delicate trade, due to this our benefactors have withdrawn their support in that time period. Your cut will be reduced by 33%, 11256 gold.
(Nathaniel looks back at the letter he's been sent, recalling the original payment being 400 gold. He opens his lips, almost slipping this out but then reconsiders his decision and just hangs back, so hesitant that he doesn't even negotiate for a "better" price, nodding subserviently. "Alright."
Back at the docking bay, three incredibly tall and muscular males, donning yeshan bracelets and crimson, dragon-like badges walk up to Carn's ship. They seem to don both impressive and deadly swords. One of them steps up and shouts, as if with all his might, but clearly natural to him. "Yeshan Public Eye, the captain of this ship shall step out in this moment or we will assume arms!"

walking out in full gear, which unlike Nathaniel Carn prefers function more so, in short he has helmet, flak jacket, Roxane and Bloodsong visibly on him. "Well now, thats an unfriendly welcome to a man new in port."

Ignoring his statement, the bulky man goes straight for business with his stern voice, "We have a search order of this ship. Step aside and clear it of all crew members before we commence."

"One minute please. George grab adam and go ashore! Koali go see if you can find a good place to eat! As for you men, here is are permits allowing me to carry explosives, they are up to date, but i ask you be careful in the hold, dont want an incident."

**One of them goes straight for the hold just for the sake of it, while the rest examine every nook of the ship. Eventually, one stumbles upon the exoskeleton. "Division leader!" He shouts. The bulkiest of them comes over, not pleased with what he's just seen. He turns around back at Carn,
"Are you sure you captain this vessel?"

"Ugh, THAT was something a crewman of mine picked up in Naufrage, I was unaware until recently that he had acquired it, I assure you it will be soon rectified. And as i said, you can go in the hold, just be very careful."

"This is a dead body, sir. Are you permitted to legally harbor it?"

"Technically its only partially a dead body, the other bits look like an automaton endoskeleton, long story short, there was a crazy doctor in Naufrage, he tried to experiment on my crewmen and he set this thing on us, i managed to destroy it, at least so it is no longer functional. Why my crewman brought it aboard i do not know."

**The trio of men look at eachother for a moment. Their elderly then speaks out, "You will need to come with us until this matter is investigated and concluded."

George, with Adam, turns around on the boarding plank.
"Sir, sir!"
The man look at George
"I claim full ownership of the corpse. The crew only found out about its existence merely hours ago."

"George be quiet. Alright, gentlemen just let me finish the situation here for a second. Koali, your in charge of the ship, keep an eye on everything, and dont let those two make trouble. Now where shall we go officer? And may I ask what brought this about in the first place?"

**The man simply escort him over, "You may to our superiors, but do not expect an answer."
**Carn is soon left at a cell, despite the triviality of the situation. However, to his relief, Yeshan cells are delicately made and include a brand new radio station just for him in his time there.

Not sure what do do with himself, George and Adam find what may have once been a restaurant, and sit down, all the while feeling guilty.

Eyeing his axe and rifle from inside the cell he mentally chuckles at the situation. Really, those three didn't even bother to search him for any other weapons, he still has two derringer pistols in his boots, a choke wire, and a variety of knives on him. Honestly i could probably bust that door open without anything else, but this is only a holding cell, not a prion cell, big difference. So I'll wait, all snug and cozy, until the moment shows.

And the moment does indeed show after a few hours as the door croaks as it's pulled back. Nathaniel, now in his unrecognizable outfit, takes a step in and tosses him a sack filled with gold, "Miss me?" He smirks a bit, gesturing him over.

"Well now, mind telling me why i was detained? And the exact amount in this?"

Nathaniel speaks in a bit of a lowly voice as they walk past the main hall, "Stuff went wrong, misinformation. The letter said we were supposed to drop it at the back of the hall, but the guy thought he'd send his goons over to retrieve it himself to ensure we dont "go through the trouble with the authorities." Too late, we did. So I told him about it, and he wanted to see the letter. Didn't give. Why? He gave us twenty thousand of what we were promised. Sooo it worked out. He cut down on 33 and after this a 5 percent on our cut, but you still have double the promised amount in that sack. 900 or so, I believe. I didnt count myself. But say, why don't we just.. dump that body of yours or something, hit moonshine and get back to the bar in a flash before someone decides to arrest your friend george for necrophilia?"

"I saw an empty gorge 2 clicks south of here, i've got enough napalm and lochnagar powder to make sure its gone, then we hightail it, oh hears your cut of the bounty, actually im just going to give you your crew's cut, but i will check on them to make sure they each get it." handing him a sack of 4000 gold "As per agreement profi i shared equally, speaking of which, how much did we get for selling of the stuff from the Viper's ship?"

"Well im coming back to the tavern for a small bit, only George signed on to come with me to Anglea, and Koali seemed interested, anyways, i'd rather not cut through the Empire." (honestly i was just planning on doing a "meanwhile in Kinforth" thing with some dialogue, not a quest thing.)

"Either way, let's break off and 'shine back to the Tavern. Race you there! Hell, I'll burn kerosene at half throttle just to make it fair."

"Ha, yeah right, alternating moonshine and kerosene through the night has made my engines currently unfit for racing, i'm gonna stick to kerosene, give the engies a breather."

*Distracts the two goons with an impressive fireworks display accompanied by a snack of flame-grilled lamb.*

George order a watery ale and slowly sips it.

"Come on, lets get our crews and go already, wait George? Adam? Come on you two, we're leaving."

George finishes his ale and follows Carn.

"Alright, lets get out of here, i need a hellfire, Koali enough, we're leaving."the crews pack up and head back to (im gonna guess since the tavern is in neutral territory that it is in the burren) the tavern, stopping in a clearing to completely burn off the corpse George picked up

The two ships, now freed of their cargo, are again able to fly gracefully at their top speed as they safely make their way back to the tavern.
