Client version 1.4.0 (462) has been released, along with a small server patch you hopefully won't have noticed happening.
- King of the Hill and Crazy King modes: reduced points from kills, from 20 to 13
- Minotaur Heavy Cannon: reduced muzzle speed (from 800 to 350)
- Minotaur Heavy Cannon: reduced shatter damage per buckshot (from 35 to 28)
- Minotaur Heavy Cannon: removed arming time (which had no effect anyway)
- Fixed Minotaur not getting the “overheated” visual effect at 8 fire stacks
- Fixed music triggering at various points it shouldn’t have (loading screen)
- Fixed music not triggering correctly for spectators based on health
- Fixed capture point modes (KoH and CK) not ending when the point goal was exceeded by a kill
- Fixed Minotaur-related achievement graphics
- Fixed cases where text overflowed boundaries (Minotaur tooltip and map descriptions)

I still stand by the feedback I gave by email after capture point testing...
Changing the points per kill will not make a huge difference to match length and many matches will still be too short on Labyrinth and desert scrap because of the lowered point pool.
Better have the point pool at default point (pre-1.4.0) and just add the points per kills, this will increase match speeds enough.
People have been complaining about crazy king taking too long, and maybe they're right but if king of the hill was a reasonable time and if king of the hill took a long time, it meant the match was interesting and well played, or that the players kept flying off map and no one attempted to capture the point...

350m/s for Mino's muzzle speed is WAAAAY TOO LOW. 550-600 is a good speed. At the moment it's a useless gun.

I didn't think that was a bug. I would have thought you would need to have the point capped to win. Don't like this change.
Also, yeah, muzzle speed is waaay too slow

Range is the same. bullets lifespan got upped

We're waiting on Steam. They *claimed* they would have everything ready for us to enable selling workshop items in the store, but haven't actually followed through yet.

I think so, but it sounds like you've already taken all the right steps. We're still kinda backlogged from PAX so that may be as much of the reason for the delay in your particular case.

I agree with this. They go way too fast now, just adding points for kills would of been sufficient enough.
Also, I'm surprised no one has said anything yet.... When does the pyra get back some of it's hull health??? It was too nerfed. At least 600 would be nicer.

You need to find what people want. The easiest way is to go for the biggest and the smallest. Once you know what people want, you can fine tune it within those boundaries. We got lucky. Took valve a few months to nerf the tide turner, if I remember properly.

Tide Turner was over nerfed though. 75% charge on kill was a good idea, but the hidden stat that stops the charge based on damage kinda ruined it.
Anyway, glad to see Mino nerfed, sometimes I can deal with it but sometimes it's damn annoying

Honestly - I'm not sure.
I think that change of capturing rules were good, but now those matches are unsatisfyingly short.
Is what I mean more clear know?

When Muse realizes that, that particular nerf didn't make change anything for the better, but just made it a little bit worse.

I would like the Minotaur to maintain some good arcs, as a support weapon it really needs them.
