‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the decks
not a player was waiting, not even in spec.
The buffs were prepped on the engines with care,
in hopes that Muse soon would give out free gear.
The gunners were nestled all snug in their chairs,
while spots of far off ships appear in the air.
With Tropo in Aussie, and Muse making a patch,
they had just settled a deal for a VIP match.
When out of the queue there arose such a lobby,
Where veterans played alongside new deck swabies.
Alway to the forums they flew in a flash,
to sign up their ships, and clans for the bash.
The caster all ready, the streams buffered and not laggy,
Imagine and Heldigris sitting, waiting and chatty.
More rapid than Squids, the lobbies were opened,
and players rushed in excited and hopin’
they would soon win the prizes and badges.

As the holiday’s approach Sac will be running two events closest to the holiday’s. One on December 19 and the second on January 9th. The December match, in celebration of Christmas, and the January match in celebration of New Years.These matches will be casted by Imagine. They will be at the normal Sac Attack VIP Match time spot, at 9pm EST.
These matches vary from the normal Sac Attack VIP match because Muse has granted us gift prizes to the winners of these Holiday Sac Attack VIP Matches. These events are still opened to the community, however, there will be sign-ups for both events up till the day of the event. These events will start out as 3v3 matches and can be increased to 4v4 if we get a high level of
sign-ups. Players can sign up individually, in groups or as ships. Clans are welcome to sign up more than 1 ship but may not end up on the same team. The way the sign ups will work is that all players that sign up BEFORE the event will be guaranteed a spot sometime during the match. If a player shows up to the event but had not pre-signed up they will be allowed to play after the lobby is filled with the players that had pre-signed up. We will try to accommodate as many players as possible.
When you sign up list:
At least 1 point of contact
Number of players you are signing up (if it’s more than just yourself)
Which event (Christmas or New Years or Both) you want to participate in
(additional but not required: The names of the other players you are signing up)
(additional but not required: A Team Name)
Dyes, Hats and costumes will be awarded based from a point system (Dye worth 2 points, Hats worth 3 points and Costumes worth 5 points) and will be granted to players in the days following the matches. Players will be able to request their dyes, hats, and costumes from another post that will be put up after the matches.
There will also a special Badge made just for the Sac Attack VIP Match! The top 3 players (1-3) that have the most points will receive a Gold Sac VIP Badge. The next 3 players (4-6) that have the most points would receive a Silver Sac VIP Badge. The next 3 players after that (7-9) that have the most points would receive a Bronze Sac VIP Badge.
The prizes will be awarded separately for each event.
The standard Sac Attack VIP Match Rules apply.
VIP MODE RULES:
- A 3v3 played in any of the King of the Hill or Crazy King maps.
No capturing of the point, you ruin the whole game and the lobby has to be re-made.
Penalty for capturing the point: 1 VIP death granted to the other team per 100 points captured. (This is special to Desert Scrap)
- 1 Ship on each team will have a name of VIP.
- 30 minutes per match.
- 2 ways to win: 1) 4 Kills on the enemies VIP ship
OR
2) Wipe Out: The VIP ship kills each enemy ship 1 time each
- Most wins at the end of 30 minutes takes the match.
- In the case of a tie there will be a sudden death in which the first side to kill the enemies VIP ship wins.
- 1 player as referee in spectate: keeps track of time and kills.
- Once the winner is declared the losing teams MUST surrender the match.
- No Pauses allowed.
