First things first, the points will be finalized by the judges (Me, B'Elanna, Foxx and Byron) next saturday, and then posted. Kills of the final week will be posted very soon, but super bonus points will be added, aswell as final kills scrutinized to make sure we give credit to the right ship, so the kill list is subject to minor change.
the way points will be calculated is as follows:
- losing teams in week 6 will be given their week 5 points, minus their bet. after that's calculated, they get any super bonus points they have gained added on.
- winning teams in week 6 will have their bets subtracted from their week 5 total, and all of the points bet by each of the 6 teams will be added together as a pool. then, each kill they gained in week 6 will grant then 1/7 of the points in their match's pool added to their new total. then ofcourse, super bonus points will be granted.
now that that's said, we can move on to the post tournament summary :)
so, first of, huuuuuuge thank you to all the players who participated, be it in all 6 weeks or only a couple, the tournament couldn't be here without you guys playing, and sticking with us till the end through all the bumps. On behalf of myself and the rest of the organisers, I can only say that we cannot express enough gratitude to you guys for that. thank you so very, very much ^^
thanks also to the various casters who've commentated on the matches, and to the rob & dan show for hosting the stream. They made the tournament epic, and allowed it to not only be an experience to play in, but an experience to watch.
and last but not least, thank's to muse for officially supporting this tournament!
so, as most of you know, this tournament is planned to be repeated in the future, so on saturday, as well as the point announcement, we'll be posting a suggestions thread. here you are welcome to voice all your criticism and ideas of how to improve the fun-factor of the tournament.
hopefully you guys all had fun during the matches, we know there's been alot of organisational errors and a few disputes, but yeah, the matches looked good on our end so we hope they were good on yours.
next time we plan on being much better at this thing, now we've been thrown in the deep end ^^
last but not least, thanks to everyone involved in making this a fitting tribute to Timothy M. Blumer, known to us as TimmyB, who passed away on March 16, 2014

-
I noticed the same score Dementio mentions.
-

Yep, we went down at the VERY last second.. XD
-
Guess we got our Cultural victory anyway XD

Watch out for Gandhi.

just watched the replay, its hard to say in game 1 who got the last kill though.

At least you don't say that we tried to suicide ourselves (Phenix) by kissing the mountain. ^_^

I mean I didn't make a screenshot cuz I didn't know that kills per team will matter anyhow, but my team was interested in our kill count, and I did see we've got 3 crew kills + 1 ram kill in the end-game stats window. Unfortunately you only have my word on it (this is why I want the match history in the game :| ).

im not disputing it in any way.
this is a thing where eyewitnessing is the only proof of it. there was a referee in the game, so I trust that is the correct score.
But I just find it to be a problem with the rules, since all we have is a stream that didnt record the kill, because the combat log doesnt show the last kill.
Tbh I havent been too happy about how kills impact the ships signing up, that would mean that it is better to take a killship, as opposed to setting up a team based on helping eachother like I wanted this casual event to be, up untill squid racing that was how our ship flew atleast, taking builds that would help the team win, whereas squid racing and after we started playing a solo game because points.
-
Perhaps next event run something where there is kills and then there is "assists". It would come down to judges marking and things might be hazy when it comes to some engagements but it might be doable.
-
That's a good idea, I like it.
-
certainly would be more fair for disable ships.. ship a sets up the kill, ship b knocks them down. team b shouldn't be getting all the points, and we'll near-certainly be making that a change for TimmyB tourny 2
-
Thanks Caylin and everyone who organized the event. I had a blast with the unorthodox nature of this tournament - and so did my crew :) I def look forward to more crazy combat themed style tourneys in the future!

Just for your information, I want to remind you that Life After Love went all in.
Just checking, as the casters said we bet 80% of our points.

I believe what we were saying is that, according to the loadout present on a ship, what the minimum percentage of points you had to have spent was.
-
regardless, the only way to have a loadout that required all-in was to carry a harpoon, everything else would have been 80 or less.
-
Okay before discussions gets any further I'm going to create another thread for that, because I need this one focused on what I am about to post :)
From every team that participated, I need a submission of your official four man (or woman) team's participants names that want a badge and prize. The first place team will be contacted afterwards but they may also submit for the participation badge.
I will need you to post the name of your team, it's members, and an official contact reachable through a steam name.
Finally, I would also like to thank everyone who participated and to the casters and Rob and Dan who helped make this event possible. All of you made it possible. It was really important to me and the others that knew Timmy to do his event justice. I would like to pay special note to thanking all the teams that consistently made an effort to be in their lobbies early with full members. It made my job a lot easier. And finally, to pay special attention to the Ducks for creating amazing themes every week that were centered around Timmy's love for heavy metal.

I even went through all the matches teatime flew in to make sure each sub I had was listed. Seems like every time I flew there was someone new fly in each match.

Crimson Sky Menace:
This is gonna be little bit complicated, since we probably strayed the furthest from the original four man crew (sorry :) ).
Guys that participated in most events :
RunningTree (6 matches)
Cadett (4 matches)
Steve CZ (3 matches)
Diehard.zero (2 matches)
I’m nobody (2 matches)
Qanouni (2 matches)
Additional subs:
GentleWheatley (1 match)
Sheamzilla (1 match)
Loudoze (1 match)
Angelisa Ratatoskr (1 match)
Lars Santiago (1 match)
I know, I know, it's 11 people :D Now you know, how complicated it is to organise something in our clan. Anyways, if you can't give badges to everyone, take just the top group. If you need just 4 people, take the top 3 and pick the fourth on random. BTW those are all CsM members (some former), so it should be all according to rules.
Let me also take this opportunity to thank all the organisers and also allies and opponents, our clan members and all the others that made this happen. It was great fun! :)
EDIT: Steve CZ (me) is the contact
