Who are the Thralls?
The Thralls were formed by veterans of the competitive scene, along with new players that wanted to test their skill versus the other teams of GoIo. Some members have been playing competitively for well over a year. We are a GoIo only clan, which means that we only play GoIo together on a competitive level, however we enjoy ourselves to some different games once in a while. We participate in almost every event in GoIo and find ourselves on a high level of play and skills. We see ourselves as a competitive clan and act as such. With that in mind, we are a tight knit group of players and we value friendship and camaraderie far more than competitive success. We do our best in fulfilling our competitive objectives while making sure to keep enjoyment and friendship at the forefront of our mission.
Where do you fit in?
As a successful competitive team, we aim to remain small and cohesive. Rarely do we hold open invitations such as this into our ranks. As such, when we do search for our newest members, we have very high expectations.
For starters, we all recruits must meet the following requirements:
Experience in playing Guns of Icarus Online.
A willingness to participate in the events the clan signs up for: Hephaestus challenge, Sunday community skirmish and the occasional practice scrimmage during the week.
That you first and foremost play for our team in these events.
That you are friendly and have a good behavior towards your fellow players.
That you have a microphone and are willing to communicate with the clan. (You will need Teamspeak 3 installed)
That you are of 16 years age or older.
That you live in the USA or in Europe. (it’s just not possible for us to schedule outside of these timezones).
That you are loyal towards the clan, and respect the clan leadership and chain of command.
That you are eager to discover, learn, and be a part of the Glowwater Thralls' system.
What we provide
We provide a tight organization where the leadership takes care of everything.
We are a clan that thinks embraces advanced tactics, which we see as the most fun and rewarding part of the game.
We train and teach our fellow members in these advanced play-styles and tactics. It is important that all our members knows what we are doing and why it works / doesn’t work.
We are a clan that socially interacts with each other, enjoying each others company and having fun while playing is important.
We are among the most experienced clans in the game, and our competitive history and success has deep roots.
We participate in almost every event and you will be required to play. We are a small group and as such all members fill a very important role in our organization.
What's next for you:
Hopefully by now, if you fit our bill, we've piqued your interest. Committing to competitive play with the Thralls is a decision that, when people make it, they stick around.

Not mentioned above but, we also provide of swamp residence for any ogres out there (or for anyone really, the whole TS server is an angry swamp).

The benefits of Thralls are also:
- best training for engineers. No jokes, guys, if you need to improve your skills, that is the best opportunity for it.
- fat chance to step away of boring usual builds. Ever wanted to fly spire in competitive? Nothing is impossible here! Victory isn't guaranteed though XD
- a clan leader which finds you on the other side of globe to inform that you have clan practice on saturday evening. All clan events arranged with week advance and that is the thing you won't find in other clan.
- smallest crew rotation ever. You will be 80% sure which people you play with next event.
- inspiring-for-battle picture of clan administration with green moustache, Shrek cult and compulsive obsession with greenlights!

All of these are facts. Leadership is disgustingly efficient and organized for competitive and non-competitive events. As a small clan, we stay very tight and focused.
Also, between our competitive Spire build (The Wizard - oh how I miss you), and the Mobula (the Aesir - you disgusting brawler you) where the engineers are told to keep firing even when the hull breaks (because Skrimskraw is crazy sometimes <3 ), you can always find an interesting build.

I just wanted to put the word out that we are looking for recruits, maybe some forum players would tell other players etc.

Mhh... I agree with all of this!
But how much Experience is required?
Once we recruited a few new players and tought them the higher level of play and tought. And they arestill playing with us today.
We value experienced play torwards a higher level, but does recruitments requirements have to be high? Dont wanna intimidate. But i was not around to talk about it so i have no idea really.
Even new, but experienced (Willing to learn) enough players is good enough in my books. Any specifications?

Thralls have made the decision to disband.
almost all of our members etc. are basicly inactive at this point.
We would like to thank everyone who we played with both competitive and in pubs.
Some of us are still going to hang around ;) but you wont be seeing the GwTh tag anymore. - basicly all players are now free from my tyranny :p

Thank you for your great impact to GOIO competitive scene. Thank you for your support for the competitive teams I was part of. Thank you for introducing me to competitive play.
May the Thrall's spirit live in eternity, not only remembered in Glowwater or the Baronies but across the whole land. From Firnfeld to Vastness, from Rusted Range to Chaladon!

You've been nothing but Gentlemen whenever I've flown with you be it pubs or competitive.
Not to mention giving me the most memorable experience I've ever had in a video game. (I think you can guess what I mean 8))

The skies are now a worse place with out the Thralls around.
They were my biggest inspiration and probably one of the main reasons I got into competitive in the first place. They weren't afraid to make unique choices and brought a breath of fresh air into the scene. Seeing a team that tight and that interesting was just fantastic. The Thralls being gone for good is a great loss. I hope their members find a good home elsewhere, as it would be a travesty to have them disappear for good. Their spirit will live on in all of us.

Sorry to hear GwTh are disbanding. We shall all have to content ourselves with the memories of your epic battle and a legacy of varied tactics and style. Hope you folks find a good home.

Players who know the thralls speak of them like legends, the Thralls are like the 300 of Sparta..
Legendary tales shall be passed on from.generation to generation, until one day rumour will spread of your return, and it shall be like tales of an apocalypse! The Thralls shall never fall.

I'd put most of our succes on crafek's boldness and fiasco's skill level.

Was more that Enemy teams would commend us for our survivability and our rotations. Something rydr picked up and are the reason why rydr are the best. Their engineers knows what they are doing.
