Yarrrr ye scurvy Sealubbers.

My name is Coldcurse and I am the leader of The Flying Dutchmen.

The Flying Dutchmen is looking for players that want to fight against others for glory and honor.
We like to see more people in the competitive world of Guns of Icarus online, and we will get a new team going on every oppertunity.

What we want from you:
-Your soul and skill, thats all.

Every soul that wants to join the clan will be accepted.

We work in a kinda different way then everyone else.
If you join us, you will be placed in a Division.

What is a Division?
A Division is 1 crew of 4 people.

Why Divisions?
When you play with people that you now, you will notice that you play alot better.
The communication between you and your Division will grow stronger as time passes by.

When we have enough Divisions we will put 2 of them in a team and get them as soon as possible
into the competitive world of Guns of Icarus online.

when you join alone:
1.We will place you in a crew with the same timezone (or at least as close as possible, and if you want to join a crew in specific we will look if that is possible)
2.We will try to get your crew joined together with another crew and form a team for the cogs as soon as possible(forming a team out of solo joiners goes slower then forming a team out of crew joiners)

When you join with 3 other friends at the same time:
1.You will be a whole division (crew) and we wont seperate you.
2.Your captain can choose a division name.
3.You can choose your own teammate (captain of another ship, if the named captain isnt in the cogs yet).
4.You will get faster into the cogs.

When you join with 7 other people:
1.You will be a whole team and we wont seperate you.
2.Your captains can choose a division name and team name.
3.You can submit your own logo and teamcolors.
4.You will be in the next cogs game!

Those were most certainly the days... back when the carronades could do some decent hull damage and had basically non existent reload times. That was fun :) Good flying with you again!

To make things a bit more clear.
Everyone can be a captain of an division, and everyone can participate in a tournament.

The Clan Captains, Division Captains and Clan Leader talk about things to improve the Clan and how we can keep everyone busy.
Being a Clan Captain is being a teacher, you want to teach everybody what you know about the game so they can get better.
Each one of them has flown in the skies and showed their skills in the battlefield.
When you see one of these guys against you, you can prepare for a heavy battle.


Fadeshade will be the subtitude clan leader in my absence.

However, i am a casual player and can't be relied on on a constant basis - this bites i know ... so, Tibbs knows how i play. I am on when i am on. As my time is usually whack, i usualy only focus as DPS (Gunner) ... ... when i played WoW for 4-1/2 years (stopped just before PandaManda release) my only toon was a mage (ally) with +50k HK ... playing TF2 for three years now i only play heavy and pyro ... etc etc... as as of today (6/22/13) level 5 gunner. :) ... i do what i'm told.

On a side-note, more interesting than useful to airship fighting; I am slightly involved with community activities over on the Amplitude forums for Endless Space (another game on Steam) and I entered a competition, won a book etc, etc... created a fan-fic faction called the Tohari which made others create fan-fic factions. I was playing with JohntheHusky earlier on and he sent me over this way, some good team-work games were going on there, I was on his side of course - seemed to be a lot of Kitties and Autobots around the place though.

I play best as an engineer, I'm an ok pilot as long as the ship is a junker.
Gunner is something I don't really play but I will if really needed but I just can't stand shooting at something while the hull armour is going down.
Mainly playing as an engineer I do know what has the highest priority.
As long as we don't get hit by Galleon broadsides or ram without reason I'll keep the ship alive.

members of my beloved clan and other players who'd like to join us.

Sorry I couldnt reply on your requests to join and that you now are searching for something else, I also have a busy job everyday.
as known the clan has become more inactive then active. I do not like this at all. Having inactive members will cause the clan to have more members leaving due to clan inactivity. Because alot will leave and tell their friends to join something else, the clan will be less interesting to new and good players. The only solution for this problem is that i clean the board and start fresh. There will be no divisions when the clan restarts, there is just not enough people for that. I will simplify the clan so we dont get confuzed about things, this will be described later on. For the planning of the clan restart i can already tell you this:

Start of december:
I will start to slowly erode the clan down.
There will be no more shiny things for 1 month.
There will be no tournaments for 1 month.
There will be no new guys joining us for 1 month.
The guns of icarus forum post will be re-edited.

End of december:
Clan Restart, everyone will be thrown out of the clan.
No exceptions unless i say so.
No one will be able to join at this time.

Start of januari:
Clan Restart will be done.
There will be more requirements to join the clan.
We will be a Intergameing clan, this means we platy more then guns of icarus alone.
The clan will be simplified.
No more Divisions until we have a solid ground.
We might have a name change, im still thinking about it. (shut it lockheart)
We will be a fun clan to join but now im making some requirements so we dont have to do this again.

Just to confirm some things:
1. We're not dead.
2. We're not alive.
3. Yes, we will be hunting your soul again.
4. No, being a ginger doesnt make you immume to us.

We have our own website and sign-up procedures are changed.
