Title: A suggestion Regarding Leave Counts
Post by: macmacnick on April 17, 2014, 03:35:59 pm
I was thinking, to help people with horrible internet who are getting leave counts due to their connection, or who crash frequently, to stop getting leave counts, due to these by making it so that if they returned to the same match within the "Resume Match" time period, the leave count counter would not go up.

You sure that those games count towards the leave count?
Never actually watched it but i think i would have alot more leaves now just because of equipment readjustments.

I am leaning towards Alistair's experience here. I have nearly 2000 matches with less than 20 leaves, and I've dropped out due to my connection often, usually, but not always being able to resume the game via main menu. I've also changed equipment in the middle of the game more often than 20 times in total.

Well, it seems like mine's going up whenever I change mid-match or are occasionally d/c'd.

I suffer from a shitty internet connection (roughly 2 dcs per game-evening on average). Also GoI runs relatively unstable on my rig (roughly 0.5 game-crashes per game-evening on average).

Based on my observations I can state that neither equipment adjustments nor game crashes or disconnections are counted as leaves as long as one reconnects to the left match before it ends.

Reconnects before the match ends? Hmm I thought it was when the leave counter ends. That'll be useful for me because my internet's having some issues.
