Overwatch is a clan started on August 10th, 2013. We started as a group of players who became friends by playing together. The night before the first Sunday Rumble, the clan was formed. The next day we entered the competition and came out victorious. In the time that followed we were declared champions of the Flotsam Dynasty Campaign, won the first Saturday Box Social, and participated in several other events either with a clan team or as part of a joint venture with another clan. | ||

We are a casual competitive clan. We focus on the enjoyment of the game, both from being competitive and from flying together with friends. If you see someone with an OVW tag, odds are they will soon be joined by a flock of other clan members. We love to fly together and against each other. We enjoy competing, but approach it from a relaxed standpoint. We enter competitions to have fun, with a side goal of winning. |

Is Overwatch a reference to XCOM?I actually met everyone like, probably just hours before the clan actually formed. The next day I logged in and suddenly all my new friends had weird tags. I have no idea where the name came from, but I doubt it was from XCOM. It is probably more related to the whole "we are way up in the sky for this game. Over everything. Watching. Huh" thing. But now I'm curious. I'll ask around. ^.^
Thinking about the origins of the name makes me want to see an Underwatch.That would be pretty cool. Maybe if we get a second team into competitive someday...
I remember ages and ages and ages ago when playing with some overwatch people I used the tag [UDWr] and Spud Nick changed his tag to [UDWs]. The ranks 'Ram' and 'Spud' in the underwatch clan were the highest two ranks you could get :D. Sadly the clan was very short lived and dissolved after only a couple of matches :(.Thinking about the origins of the name makes me want to see an Underwatch.That would be pretty cool. Sadly I don't think any OVW peeps aside from myself use the forums.I use them! Or rather I lurk. And write long posts, get to the end, and decide it's not worth the trouble and go back to lurking. :D
