Title: The Sunday Rumble #7 Signups (9/22/13 @ 4pm EST)

This thread is for Sunday Rumble #7 signups, this Sunday the 22nd of September at 4pm EST. The format will be a single elimination bracket, all best of threes. Northern Fjords has been removed from the map pool. The updated map pool is as follows: Canyon Ambush, Duel at Dawn, Paritan Rumble.

Signups will end one hour prior to the scheduled event start.

There are two primary reasons for removing Fjords. The relative height of the flight ceiling to the terrain makes it a non-factor in the majority of games, leading to non-dynamic game states of ships charging full blast at each other repeatedly, or heavy camping and sniping. This, combined with the detrimental spawn zones (either getting an initial spawn opposite of your ally, or spawning directly into combat) is why it's been removed.

Overwatch will be there, but will be disappointed Fjords isn't in the pool.

The one other thing I'll say: for this week we are running without Fjords. After the Rumble, I will be taking participant feedback into consideration.

sooo in spite of all of the obvious wolfpack nerfing we will be competing this week

The Aeronautical Knights will be attending once again, we always love a good rumble. I understand why the Fjords map was removed but will also miss it. I hope they fix the spawning on it soon.

the initial spawning will be fixed next patch, kinda quote from bubbles.

However I disagree with the removal of Fjords since charging at eachother or long range is a part of the game and what else are we supposed to do as teams?

Wolfpack have more than once proved the effectiveness of charging long range.

spawns Is a valid argument in my opinion, but it should be fixed next patch.

Unfortunately it wasn't which I assume means finding the rogue code causing the spawns is harder than anticipated.

Urz, little disappointed with the quality of some of the off stream captures (but still happy that the dark matches were recorded). Could you request those kind enough to volunteer their time don't mess around with settings in the main menu during matches, especially in heated combat.

I have a few other issues that i may/may not bring up but those aren't for bringing up in public.
