Many games have pre-configurations for classes/loadouts. Can we please have them for ships?

I think he means pre-defined ones that we can make up ourselves. Like a Scrolldown-Menu next to the ships name; like..
Ship-Loadouts: Blenderfish , Flamerfish ..
Engineer-Loadouts: Buffing, Full-Repair
with a fancy icon next to them to modify them and suit them to our needs, or create new ones.

Oh, yeah. Silly me. I think it's better to let players experiment for themselves, but this idea could have some merit.

Yep. It's fun to experiment for a little bit, but in the end a quick way to do what we already do (configure our ships for specific maps, enemies and allies) would be neat.

I wouldn't mind configurable load outs that way we still get to experiment. There is plenty of time in the lobby to reconfigure a ship/class to a new strategy, but many a time I have forgotten to reconfigure my captain tools when I go from Galleon to Squid.

I kinda like it. A few "Saves" of loadouts would be neat. Although not the highest thing on my wishlist

Agreed with spoon. Something nice to think about, but not high on the wishlist.
