As some of you may have heard, a player by the name of TheRealDeadpool is approaching on the current record(121 wins i believe) of winning streaks. him and his clan (DPA) have been slowely working their way up the streak chain, and as of the last check, he is at 91. we plan on hosting a most incredulous of livestreams to commendate this spectacular achievement, but we are not putting any major commitment into it as of yet, as we have no solid date, and his title may yet be disputed!! So wish him well in his quest for glory in the skies of icarus!!

Sir Mathaus Fernidan and I have been in here for a while against him. We killed his ship twice so far but he's really good.

I'm rooting for him but it is quite fun to play against him. Our goal has been mostly to get kills on his ship since you guys take us out so fast anyways.

That said, if he ever wants to fight a challenge, as opposed to, y'know, pubstomping noobs, the clans will always be ready. Make match 121 be vs Paddling or something. Otherwise, it's like saying "I just set the record for killing the most level 2 goblins ever! This is a great moment!"
That said, if you really care about this stuff, more power to ya. Good luck on the record.

I'll say DeadPool is a very entertaining guy to play with, and a pretty good player. He might pubstomp but some of them are really asking for it, like joining as a level 2 gunner captain with no crew and pressing ready agaisnt him. He warns them and tries to help them choose better load outs and such, so please don't discredit him ( even though I agree this record is not something to be super hyped of ).

I don't see how running a meta build is considered a bad thing. Hell, I run a pyra too sometimes.

I've been fighting with Deadpool for a while now as his engineer, and I haven't seen him go out with the intent of pubstomping. To me, it seems that we create our games with the intent of having fun and hopefully winning, and if a team of new players joins, it's their loss, they should have went to a lvl 1-3 game, and if a competitive team from another clan shows up to fight, we'll gladly fight them as well. In short, no one in DPA cares who they fight, and if they want a fight, we'll give one.

i will try to make the record break attempt match something of a challenge, like a DPA vs. the Ducks, and if you want to communicate, either hit him up in game, or talk to a DPA member who can talk to him ^^

I think what people are trying to articulate is that in general, organized clans and teams will rarely lose to random players and that playing against pubs with an organised team is perhaps not necessarily the greatest of feats.
That being said I would welcome the challenge of DPA or really any other organised team or clan. The more scrimmages we play against good teams the better. If you are interested in scrimming the Ducks PM Squash, N-Sunderland or myself and we can set something up.

well, he's been up against FALC teams, Gent teams, COx teams, Duck teams and so on an so forth, it's just that alot are against low levels. but 95 basically guarantees at least a few matches against another organised team. so there has been pubstomping yes, but that's only because he never get's a bunch of tough matches very often. and still, if you want to end the pub stomping, then hunt the DPAs down in game, and fight them!! (i'll update this thread when he reaches 121, so that the Ducks can face him if they so wish)

TRDeadpool, is someone who I play with often! He always tries to help people who join, he gives tips on load outs for the ship, he warns them, he does not go out of his way to "pubstomp" at all, he just plays. The levels are clearly on there for anyone to see! If they want to play him no matter their level, he plays, he does not jump around lobbies looking for lower levels at all! Like I said I have played with him, he is a very good sport and plays whoever goes up against him. I say Go DEADPOOL! Enjoy your streak! I'm rooting for you!

Those were tough games, too. We had a lot of fun and I hope we get to play against DPA some more in the future.

Yeah, you guys put up a mean fight. After that match I'm not surprised you all had such a high streak going.

Yeah, if you aren't already, sign up for the cogs and the scrimmages and stuff. And congrats on your almost record break. You seem like awesome guys. Don't judge a book by its killstreak, as my mother always used to say.

Wow the Level of butt hurt in here...
You guys that jelly? I don't think level 4+ are really noobs, which is what we faced quite a bit. There were some new players sometimes. I'm a good engie, a decent gunner, and a decent pilot. I've flown with Deadpool many times and I've yet to win a match against him. But I have gotten kills on him. >=)
I'd also like to remind you that each ship has its advantages, and disadvantages and can make kills. Levels do not really matter. A level 4 pilot can kill a level 10 pilot, if he has a better strategy, or a better team, or a sudden fit of luck, or all 3.
Also, the streak doesn't really matter (sorry deadpool). It's just the amount of kills you get without dying. This streak is outside of cogs so it does kind of take away the....seriousness? of it. A little. But I have to say, he is a really good pilot, and really fun to play with.
