If you haven't heard yet, we have a pretty cryptic trailer shoved in our faces a few days ago.

(They really should support video bb code, it's quite nice)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, now I hope it's not the same games mechanics as in Assault Horizon, and at the beginning I thought it was back at Strangereal during the Ulysses Asteriod shower.
-
To be honest I thought AH was a decent game, as a game, as a game in the Ace Combat series however, not so much.
-
Kinda gotten tired of Ace games. Played most of them and literally all that seems to change is the story. Now I rarely buy one new. Guess it could be worse...could be HawX. I never wanted to friendly fire more in my life than when I played HawX the first time. But that was mostly because you are supporting the protagonist from Ghost Recon and I have a deep hatred of Mitchell and all Ubisoft did to Ghost Recon after the first game.

So far we've seen AC6 content teased (Mentioning the "Kottos 2" on the teaser page), AC5 content teased (Mention of the AC5 pilots) and we've seen what appears to be the Stonehenge Turret Defense Network in the trailer.
Yet the planet is clearly earth and not Strangereal. The heck is going on?

If we had an answer, but we don't, so be it.

There's that interesting crater about 30 seconds in, what do you make of that?

Ace Combat 4, that's about it really
-
News guys, the new Ace Combat is F2P :/
-
Haven't played Ace Combat, but after trying out Hawx I've never even wanted to try another jet-fighting game ever... again...

Ace Combat is superior to HAWX

I sure hope so, hah. Myself I'm diggin Warthunder as I'm more of a WW-planes fan

Wait.
Aigaion and Stonehenge? In the same game? Was that laser from the Morgan or the Falken? Those four craft weren't supposed to be Razgriz, were they?
Oh god, I hope they're not just trying to make this an arbitrary nostalgiabomb.

We finally meet Meta, also here is the other trailer

0:50 ..is that a air-carrier!?
So it's a bit futuristic? Interesting
-
Okay, I'm lost. As someone who's never played an Ace Combat game, or any jet fighter game for that matter, all these names and stuff make no sense. When in the trailer they said they launching an attack on Stonehenge, I literally thought they were talking about the monument in Wiltshire. What do all these names mean?
-
In Ace Combat 4 Stonehenge was a massive Railgun defense network made to intercept the Ulysses Meteor but was later captured by a hostile military force and used for AA duties, Kottos was an Electronic support craft in Ace Combat 6 Along with the Aigaion which was Aerial Carrier and missile platform.

It's more that Ace Combat takes the Metal Gear Solid approach to realism.
-
That pretty much describes it.
-
I see
-
It also has some of the best OST's ever.
-
an ace combat thread and no one told me about it? I'm hurt guys ;)
