Title: Server Downtime and Patch Release v1.2.1

Hello everyone we're pushing out 1.2.1 tonight and there will be two-hour downtime starting at 8PM EDT.
Sorry for the inconvenience and here are the patch notes

Features
- New map: Paritan Rumble, 2v2 deathmatch - Advanced map with low visibility and lots of obstacles
- additional achievements for all classes
- level cap raised to 13
- new elite costumes, hats, and goggles for achievement unlocks
- “Skyrider” costume for Adventure Mode kickstarter backers

Balance
- Incendiary Rounds modifiers changed to +25% chance of fire (up from 10%) and -35% projectile speed (down from -50%)
- Dragon Tongue Light Flamethrower: increased chance to add fire charge to 20% per particle (up from 15%)
- Banshee Rocket Carousel: increased fire charge chances to 35% chance of 1 charge on direct hit, 22% chance of 2 charges in explosion area (from 12% for 2 and 30% for 1)

Fixes and Optimization
- Fixed a shader bug that could cause pixelated artifacts in rainy levels on some cards
- Maintain correct gun rotation when first getting on a gun

Server stability fixes (includes hotfixes made to 1.2):
- Changes to match list distribution to support a larger number of users and matches effectively
- Fixed several memory leaks
- Fixed a rare case where object destruction messages would not be sent
- Improved performance of networking subsystem
- Improved ability of networking and chat to use multiple cores
- Fixed a bug that could cause time in a match to run faster than intended

Honestly, increasing the speed is more of a nerf than a buff. This drastically reduces its effectiveness as an arming time compensator.

Looking forward to trying it out, though. The changes to the flamer might help a little bit, but reducing the amount of stacks for gun disabling would really be better...

Wasn't the major patch with the mine launcher and all that supposed to be coming out around now? Or has that been delayed to come out alongside the Manta?

We originally hoped to have the mine launcher in for this patch, but that was before a lot of serious server performance problems came to light during the TGS weekend and distracted us thoroughly.

That's simply sadistic. Your engi can be a deity and you'll still have your hull go below 50%. The only map where I could imagine that it'd work is Anglean.

Have the Dustrider 2.0/Skyrider keys been sent yet? I fear I'm not on the automated mailing list, as I believe Eric emailed me my first set of KS rewards directly after I did not receive the survey.

I don't see new items in the store (but I had no problems with taking them as the prizes, they are nice, especially elite pilot's suits). I wonder if it is a bug or feature.

The elite costumes are in your progress tab under prizes. If you can't unlock them then you won't see them unless someone else happens to have it on in-game.

Is the Skyrider costume different from Dustrider 2.0, or did Muse just rename it? Either way, are codes just going to be sent to our emails for these ?

Elite costume unlocks were bugged; it's the hat that's supposed to unlock at level 5, not the costume itself.  This should be fixed now; if you claimed the "wrong" item, you will be able to re-redeem that prize to claim your hat.

Skyrider is the "real" name of Dust Rider 2.0.  Keys will be sent out in the next couple of days.

You're right, that would be sadistic. Oops! It's actually hull HEALTH, not hull armor. The mistake is only in the text, the achievement actually works as intended (counts the lowest health of your permahull). Sorry for any heart attacks this may have caused among the engineers!

Not sure if it's been introduced in this patch (368) or the sub-patch (369) or a previous one, but the compulsory text field in the Report menu is now non-selectable.

It seems that since a recent patch, AI crew are essentially worthless on long range guns, usually not attempting to fire on an artemis or mercury until within medium flak range, and often missing 90% of shots until considerably closer than that. I think it's important that the AI not have perfect accuracy, but something like getting 80% hits is reasonable considering that the AI doesn't usefully single out ship components that their weapon type is specialized for, thus is generally less effective than human gunners in any case.

I thought it's been like that for a while.  It feel like it's been months since I can remember the AI shooting long range targets.  I'm guessing this was changed because AI used to be able to hit really long range heavy flak shots through the clouds prior to the Flak nerf.  Was pretty brutal as I recall.
