Ok it's that time again. In fact it's a little late, but you'll forgive me right? RIGHT? Time to tip the brand new Icarus Sky Tournament. If your new to this then awesome, the rules are simple. You get 1 point for each tip you get right. The points are tallied after each week. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins!
The first three weeks are going to be the preliminaries. This is where we get to find out what all of these new teams can do. For these three rounds we will be tipping the overall winners. Choose the two teams you think will make it out of the round. The reason we are not tipping every game is that each round has too many variables around who plays who. Later in the season we will revert to this format.

Feel free to add any information you want after the tip. If you feel like adding the score for every game, go for it!

Tipping closes when the event starts at 4pm EST Saturday.
Can the new teams, ITN/C and Dragoons stand up to the might of the Corvus comeback tour after their dramatic exit from The Cogs? Will Museosaurs be able to redeem themselves, or will they fall again, this time to newcomers? Find out in less than 24 hours!

Hey Skrim it's totally cool to put all the matchups, in fact i encourage it. But for this first 3 weeks I'm going to need just the two teams that you think are going through in a separate easy to read spot, preferable the start of your post. Just for ease of reading for me when I'm doing the leaderboard and stats really. Using your prediction for example would be:
Group A
Team 1: Corvus Marauders
Team 2: Musosaurs

Other two teams are new and in some cases just two ships chucked together, I don't see muse or crows getting knocked out here

Never count out the latent talent hidden within the ranks of the smaller groups. What is more dangerous, an enemy that is known or an enemy that is unknown? I'm expecting to see something new from these merged teams. But ultimately it may come down to the server quality. Hoping they can fly all out and not be hindered. Course the same goes for all the teams.

I looked through all the crew lists of the new teams and only recognised 1 player from public games and he was only a sub. I'm actually really excited to see if these guys have what it takes to give us a show against the more experienced teams.
In other news, I had another brain breakdown and forgot that the next round is Sunday 4pm EST so there will be a second thread for that in about an hour or 2.

Team 1: Def Corvus, they've had plenty of time to prefect their flying with no one watching them (if they've used it)
Team 2: Muse
Don't know the new teams, but if any one of them will be doing an upset, it would be SA Dragoons running over Muse.

I hope the game's running smoother than it was yesterday after the hotfixes. I certainly wouldn't want to see glitching and lag changing the course of matches.

Corvus are a top tier team who showed their quite substantial skill last time we saw them and they've had loads of time to practice since then. Barring some random disaster where multiple key members can't make it to the game on the day, they are making it out of this bracket. Muse have plenty of Cogs experience and game knowledge, but I have a feeling the goon squad have been practicing hard and are taking pride in representing the SA community so their match will be a close one, I think. The two ships merged together with no experience working as a team are at a crippling disadvantage that will be very difficult to overcome.
I'm ok with twenty minutes to spare, right? XD
