i suppose i'll join in and try to get around to do "rage corn greek" this weekend
just to note since its kinda ambiguous in this topic after being cut off from the other. what is the 3 word draw off? pretty much we get 3 words and then you have 20 minutes to draw something based on those words while still being guns of icarus themed (i dont think it has to be 20 minutes necessarily as i figure that might scare some people away ^^;, but i'm sticking to it cause that's what im used to! )
either way , i'm thinking when ever we're finished with the current set of words, the 3 people will post a single word, and the first 3 posts of words will be the theme.
the funnest part of this whole thing to me ? is when you compare all the drawing together and see how widely different each person used the 3 words given

Should we email them to a particular address that way nobody gets "Inspired" off some one else's drawing?
I know this is not a contest but if you want the most diverse sampling it would be good to keep some semblance of secrecy until the end of the weekend.

See my main idea is a ship with spartans on it. It is clear I'm going to have to move away from that. =P

Thunder god CornZeus smites down a predecessor to the Goldfish created in greek times. The airship is loaded with hoplites, greek soldiers. Thunder rages with Zeus's rage.
Obviously not a masterpiece but I like it.

If anybody knows of a thing that lets me automatically change colors slightly with every brushstroke, I want it. For example with the smoke, it would create a bunch of different gray streaks.

I don't know what program you are using, but if your brush options have an opacity function, lower it and try that by building up brush strokes.
Mine is coming tomorrow. I spent all day moving stuff over to this new computer so I'm a bit delayed. (on a side note: no more cloud induced lag in-game, yay. \o/)

a depiction of the tragic Maize Massacre, when would-be sky pirates dressed in Greek uniforms attacked and boarded the maize fleet popping away there finest soldiers. . . this tragic incident led to CornZues mistakenly taking his rage against actual Greek soldiers. it was then decided boarding would be illegal from there on since CornZues is one scary guy, . . . and dressing up in different costumes regardless of your background is to cool of a feature to make illegal

its all photoshop, which is what i do 99% of my 2d art. in any program you use, i recommend finding good free brush packs to download if your program supports it. you can get lots of different brushes that mimic actual paint brushes textures, which make things look cooler by faarr

yeap, i use a wacom tablet, totally recommend getting one! i used to use a mouse long long ago back in the day. . . now i can't see myself not using a tablet. the fact that you can control your brush depending on how much pressure you apply is also a plus!

I want to point out that I downloaded the worldmaker, make a world of pure grains, planted the city, renamed it, then Photoshopped in Leonidas. I did actually do work.

I lose days to civ as well. I lose weeks playing hot seat civ with my wife and brother, both trying to murder each other with nuclear arms while I try to make every wonder I can.

A bit late with this. I wasn't sure what to draw but I tried to keep it to something done fairly quickly.
