Post by: Psyran on February 24, 2013, 11:59:40 am
Ok, this is probably really silly, but how do I activate hydrogen?

Click on it in the tool bar (or use the corresponsing 2, 3 or 4 key) and press W to go up.  Remember to turn it off again (press 1).

To give a little more description, when you have it selected, its on and running. Raise up and watch your boat soar. Once you de-select it, it still stays on for 3 seconds after that. Make sure you account for that since its burning up your balloon's hp. A handy trick it to just give it a quick tick so you get 3 seconds worth and you dont harm yourself too bad. All situational of course.

Also consider your initial direction of travel.  If your moving down then suddenly switch on hydrogen it wont be nearly as effective.  Momentum counts big.

The state of your balloon when you initiate it also plays a role. The balloon's effectiveness goes down with the damage it takes. A nearly destroyed balloon won't get up fast anymore, even with hydrogen.

1000, I think. Or maybe 500. I'm not sure.
