Title: Ship Scale Guide

Knowing the scale of ships can be crucial in judging their range in combat. Below, you will find an image of exact scale ships, engines, and the male player character for reference. There are also individual ship features.

The images are quite large. They are grayscale png format to reduce file size while retaining the crisp lines needed for measuring. In order to measure individual ships, import the image into any program that allows you to measure pixels. I use GIMP with the selection tool (which tells you how large the selection is) or the measure tool. Once you have the pixel count, divide by 20. This will give you the dimension in meters.

You are free to use the silhouettes or images in your own projects.

I made a rough scale guide for the Player faction ships as well. These are based on screenshots of the ships at an exact distance, not the actual models themselves so are not 100% accurate like the previous images.

Frontal comparisons of the Alliance ships could actually be interesting.  For the old ships it certainly is unexpected when you seem them put in perspective like that.

Let's put things into perspective. The ships in the white box are Montana class and Yamato class warships. Image is not exact scale, but pretty close. Top ship is guesstimate reconstruction of the wreck on Oblivion, while the middle is the wreck on Dunes. Large ship on the bottom is also on Dunes. Spire for scale.
