We're testing for the release of 1.4.2, dev app build 514 is the first of this line.
Fuller release notes to come, but for the moment consider:
- The updated in-match UI
- New voice packs from the Workshop (Vladibear and Renaulde)
- AI gunners have been retired (since they didn't use gunner skills anyway)
Plus assorted bugfixes, including:
- Pilot skill effects should no longer appear unexpectedly at respawn
- The harpoon's rope no longer remains after a harpooned target dies
- Single-clicking the gatling gun no longer produces a tracer at the wrong position
- Fixed switching back to a level title after selecting a custom title

Build 515 is up. Adds the last changes needed to test the new 2v2 Deathmatch map!
(which is a slightly adjusted version of Raid on the Refinery, but still)

Nice changes, only complaint is the distance between health and stamina. My eye has to constantly track from center to right and back. I'd love it if they were both together in center or right.

1. What IS that black/white goio logo on the top right of the screen?
2. The health bar still looks like it is from a different UI, as does that goio logo and the practice mode options.
3. In the health bar, the segments are not evenly spaced out.
4. I think it would make more sense to have the team color indication as part of that decorative line between stamina and the tools, instead of around the health.
5. I don't even know what that diamond to the left of the compass is, but the line below it is not centered.
6. Inconsistent fonts everywhere.
7. The tutorial text box still looks unfinished.

The logo is the score. I find it rather distracting in the corner, and feel it could block the view too much.

Perhaps move the logon to the bottom left, make it a touch smaller? Move the chat window above it.

Oh that's nice seeing the Gatling tracer bug that I reported fixed. It's been so long since I reported it I thought you might have swipped it under the carpet ;)

Okay, so as of build 520 we have our intended UI in place for all three modes (Deathmatch, Crazy King, King of the Hill.)
I know some concerns have been raised about the black score UI in practice/tutorial; we plan to remove it there (since there's nothing to show) but that did not make the cutoff for this particular build.

Is someone trolling the ocd folks with the uneven spacing between health bar segements?

The choice provided to us by the engine seems to be "uneven spacing at some resolutions" or "don't scale UI at all".

Is there any chance at all of moving the match summery to the sides, bottom, or elsewhere so we can get nice screenshots of all the winning ships instead of just the first? I was hoping that would change soon.

I have not had the time to suggest it but I feel that the incorporation of a button should enable you at the winning screen to take screenshots without the UI in the way... My pink hat is always hidden behind the "Rematch" Box. :)
There are a few buttons which enable you to hide UI as spectators.

Since I am in holiday atm I can't check, but is there literally no AI gunner at all anymore? When tge unexpected happens that a ship gets two or more AI players, tgen who shoots when it is "As you were!"? When I had a ship with 3 AIs I was glad I could control the state of who attacks and who doesn't, because the AI gunner's priority was to attack.

It was explained in the Fireside that the gunner AI behavior is still there (not sure if it is modded some), but they have been given an engineer loadout. So, one of your engineers will still have shooting as a priority.

Correct. Your ship will still have AI that prioritize guns and prioritize repair. They now however have a more helpful loadout for the actual AI crew's capabilities.
