This thing really bugs me.
"Gears are appropriate to introduce,

That thing doesn't look like it has got a legitimate use. It's a glued on gear. Remove it or make it look like it does something, please!

I personally like the design, but I'm with you.

I'm greedy, and I want a better design. Once steam workshop comes out, maybe we can design our own search screen and UI.

It looks like on of those things you see when you open mechanical clocks. You don't know what it does but if you remove it, the clock doesn't work anymore. Thus muse, please don't remove it since it'll probably break more than fix.

At least graphically it looks ok. My search animation is super pixelated all over. :(
