Quite simple. Heavy mine launcher that shoots a spread of 3 mines. Deimos is the twin brother of Phobos, hence the name.
-
Clan Clan endorses this idea and/or product.

Or how about a net/mine. Deploys 4 mines into a rectangle with a net connecting them, forming a rectangle. Pressure on the net arms the mines, with the pulling, when the pulling stops, the switch resets and well, boom.
And make the net magnetic so it sticks to whatever touches it, or is even a tiny bit attracted to something close enough.
Just to take this to a silly place. Dare to dream.

what about making it a cluster bomb mine? get to close to one and it explodes spreading little bombs over a wide area!

Gilder, you're the best.

+1 for net mines. They need bigger bloons so they can hold the weight of the net, at the same time become easier to shoot down.
This game needs so many more minelaunchers.
Why were the thermal detonator mines removed? I still think that was a stroke of genius.

thermal detonator mines? I am intrigued

Has been rumored to be worked on for a very long time, code named as the beanbag gun. I recently asked about it in a fireside chat.

I have been pestering the devs for this gun for half a year, right down to the name. My version only has two mines fired out in a V pattern, with two volleys for a total of 4 live mines. Perhaps 3 volleys with a total of 6 live mines, with a bit of reduced damage on each mine.
Or three mines fired singly with mounted small gatlings, giving you three floating gatling turret mines. Each would only have a single clip of ammo, which would be whatever you fired the mine with. After that, they are just regular mines.
