On which section of which map would you build your house to live happily ever after in, and what kind of house would it be?
A castle built onto the side an iceberg in Northern Fjords?
A houseboat in Water Hazard?
A hollowed out camel corpse in Dunes?
Whatever and wherever you want!
-
Wherever it is, it would need to be fire-proofed.
I like to have friends over.
I DO like the scenery on Canyons, though.
-
I wouldn't mind living in that observatory on water hazard. Once adventure mode comes out I expect to see a lot more livable spaces.
-
I'd build in the ruins of Paritan. Love me some bombed out cities to scavenge through.
-
I don't know. something tells me that you could make a pretty sweet hide out of the Juggernaut, maybe search around to see if there's any suitable corridors to put up a mercenary hideout.
And then I'd set up ambushes on whoever approaches, shoot them down and salvage their weapons, and expand my empire.
THEN, one day. The Rule of Burn shall recreate the Juggernaut, and everyone shall know - The Firemother of old.
-
I wouldn't build on any of the maps. The constant rain of exploding airships really gets on your nerves after a while.
-
I'd live in the clock tower on paratian.
-
I'm with Golden, I love me a good clock tower.

GoldenGlade and Pieman, sitting in a clock..

Clockwork men we are.

Clockwork men we are.
Now if only Orangey was in there.

A hollowed out camel corpse in Dunes?
What are you, Luke Skywalker?
To answer the question I do like the looks of Canyon Ambush, so perhaps it would be nice to build a pirate base there ;)
-
I really liked that old lighthouse on Nothern Fjords. Really would love to settle there
-
Water Hazard... I'd have an epic cliiff house on one of those spires, connected to other cliff houses... each cliff has one specific role. Game cliff, bathroom cliff, kitchen cliff.... ah yes...
-
Water Hazard for sure, it reminds me so much of Myst and Riven.
-
Why settle?

My ship is my house. Going from town to town and raiding villages.

A house?
True pirates live on their ships!
EDIT: Also, Richard, that's a very, very nice piece of artwork.

That is from the movie 'Howl's Moving Castle'.

That is from the movie 'Howl's Moving Castle'.
Produced by Hayao Miyazaki. Think My Neighbor Totoro, and Princess Mononoke. And a whole lot more. Japanese animated movies. Beautiful movies. :)
-
Ah alright, I am familiar with that movie title, but I have not seen it yet. Didn't know it has steampunk aspects to it.
-
Definitely on Canyon. What you can see is only part of the map. You never know what's inside those tunnels and where those fans go.
