Title: Confusing Achievement terminology
Post by: Lehran on March 20, 2013, 01:38:47 pm
When reading the achieves menu, what exactly entails how you "defend a point"? Is it by blocking a cap, or killing a ship in an active cap zone?

I believe it is two things. One is taking a point from the enemy. Another is halting the capture of a point you already own.

Surely taking a held point is capturing it?

I thought it was defeating an enemy who contests the point, ie. Red captures the point, Blue contests the point, Red beats Blue..

I could be mistaken. I will agree its annoying to figure it out.

This is what you'd think it is but after trying many times I can assure you it's not. As far as I can tell I think it's capturing a point controlled by the enemy. It's weird.

I think we need some Clara-fication on this issue.. it could be like the ram achievements, where the description and the mechanic got out of synch.
