Signups will run for 2 weeks, ending on the 1st of February with the event beginning on the 8th of February. First three signups for Yesha and Anglea will be first come first serve. After that you can request a side but we'll have to assign to balance.

The news of war spreads wide and far.
A man bearing the seal of a Yeshan ambassador enters the tavern in a desperate try to find what he is looking for.
He announces his presence, and informs the visiting guests that he is looking for mercenaries to fight for the Yeshan republic.
The tavern goes silent for a second and then goes back to drinking.
The ambassador looks stressfull, for an entire day he have been going around hireing mercenaries, and none have joined his cause yet.
He knows if he returns empty handed he would be punished, so he asks again, this time he make sure to tell guests of the large payment.
A man replies from the end of the tavern: "Warring for resources is a dirty business, don't come around here mister, none of us will join you!"
"Are you scared old man?" a prominent figure replies, she is clad in Barony clothing, but bearing no seal of any Barons.
The tavern goes silent as they know who is speaking.
The woman looks around, and then walks over to the ambassador.
"The pay is good you say?" he nods and tells her the exact amount of payment.
She smiles and replies: "Triple the payment, but we will not be part of your armada, we will do things our way and more precise than any of your officers can do themselves. Those are our terms."
The ambassador looks angry and replies in harsh language: "who do you think you are!"
before the ambassador can continue his insult a man shouts: "That is the Thralls mister!"
The ambassador goes silent, has his luck run out? is this what is has come to? Hireing lowlife scum to the Yeshan armada?
He looks at the woman again, she doesn't look like a beggar or a lowlife. She looks like the daughter of a rich baron.
He coughs and then says: "Your reputation goes far and wide, the thralls are well known to the west of here."
The woman replies: "If by reputation you mean our professionalism, then yes. But killing Anglean raiders is something we are keen to at this point."
The ambassador nods and pulls out a contract.
"Triple the pay, and your valued tactical opinion." he says.
The woman looks at it and laughs: "Lets set sail for the Yeshan empire, I will talk with your officers, and not sign anything before I know the risk."
The man gives the woman a time and place for departure, then leaves to try the next taverns.
Rumors spread that the Thralls have joined the Yeshan army. Notoriously known for their work in the baronies as prominent business, shady work, transporting missions, fighting and underworld contacts. It is no surprise that the Thralls would fight for the Yeshan empire, as the pay highly outranks the need for helping the poor anglean republic.

This looks like a great event. Makes me wish I could rejoin competitive play.

We'd like to participate, but lack another ship to actually do so. Hence we're interested in an alliance.

Wundsalz, just add your Steam ID and I'll add you to the Event group. Also be sure and list which faction you wish to fly for. Unless you don't care. If you don't then we'll assign you one after the others have submitted their choices.

Tournament dates are going to be extended 1 week. We'll now be starting on the 15th and ending March 15th. Signups will now have till the 8th. Requesting mod support to edit posts and get this stickied this time.

There's been some support from the Gents for this event, but many of our players are abit overworked and tired due to the sheer amount of practices and tourneys. honestly, i'm not sure on the attendence we can give, but i know my boat's got full crew and matti will hopefully be there with some crew, though we may need some mercs.

The Gentlemen will be participating with Three(3) boats under the Anglean banner.

That works. Likely need them to merc for Anglean faction. We'll just need 3 more boats to get a solid 3 teams for each faction then. Well 5 if we don't bring a merc boat to fill SIR and the Cake mercs. Right now small teams with 1 -2 ships would be helpful to fill out the rest of the spots.

Gilder, will you accept individual mercs, or are you looking for individual merc ships? Would you create a pool of interested individuals and let us build a couple ships out of that?
I am working towards making an organized way of doing that, but seeing as it's a little late in the ball game for these sign-ups, I was curious if you have anything in place.

I'd like to sign up the Crimson Rhino Ryders (an alliance between CsM, SIR and Rydr).
We prefer to part of the the Anglean faction.
SIR will not contribute ships to any other Alliances during the event.

Wonder why I had SIR down for Yesha...alright well that works perfectly if you guys fly Anglean.
So currently we have 2 teams on Yesha and 2 for Anglea. Plus 2 extra merc boats from Cake. Redria yeah if we get about 4 more merc boats we can balance the event at 6 teams. Even if we don't get 4 we'll see about trying to fill any remaining.
Right now it is whoever can bring in a ship with crew.

Well if we get 1 more team or 3 ships we can merge IRIS with the Cake merc boats and get that last match filled. If not, we'll work something out. We at least have 2 solid groups. Could extend match time to 1hr for each or keep the 30 min timer but do the final match as top scorers from each faction face off.
I'd like to find some way of getting the merc boats in but other than a rotation setup we'd need another team.
