Welcome to the first Saturday Box Social! It is a simple, straightforward bracket, to be run weekly in the same spirit as the Sunday Rumble.

Box Social #1 is taking place this Saturday the 18th of January at 4pm EST / 9pm UTC. The format will be a single elimination bracket, all best of threes. The map pool is as follows: Battle on the Dunes, Canyon Ambush, Duel at Dawn, Northern Fjords, Paritan Rumble. The time limit rule (https://gunsoficarus.com/community/forum/index.php/topic,2972.msg51028.html#msg51028) will be used in this event.

Signups will close thirty minutes prior to the scheduled event start.

Some clans only do one event per week. Spreading them out seems like more of a bad thing then good.

Edit: Either way I'll try to keep my site updated with them. But I'm just a bit confused behind the choice.

I mean they're two different events. No one is forcing anyone to participate one or the other (or both), the two events will be run differently with different structures/formats. Still unsure where the confusion lies >.>

That's why Wednesday saw this posted, urz announcing an event that would just so happen to run at the same time weekly. Rather than risking a community split, it was decided to go ahead and fold leto and urz together to make a new system.

It wasn't important that this event be anything different than the Sunday Rumble. It just had to exist.

be good to see an event like this available to any one in off season and down time between big events

we will always support a Sunday rumble when we can make it too

And just for clarification, urz might be producing this, but for the first time everyone has come together and made peace. Urz and the anvalan team, with leto, are working together to bring organized goio esports to a higher level. This is a really great thing. You should be excited that all the clans can start to compete again in a prime time with clear skies ahead.

There was also a partially complete bracket on the CeSports Challonge page that I was using to test the stream overlay. That was just for testing and will be reset before we actually start.
