I am surprised this feature isn't already in the game, but I would love to see it implemented because it's very simple and would save a lot of hassle. Many times I have clicked either "Ship" or "Character" and changed around some preferences; things such as guns on ships, or perks or even which class I have selected, and I frequently forget to click the "Customization Complete" button in the bottom right, but instead click "Back" in the bottom left. This ends up reverting any of the changes I just made, and I only discover what has happened after the match has already started and now we're stuck with two buffing engineers on the ship, or the wrong pilot loadout for what ship I am flying.
This could very easily be solved by having a pop-up that says "You have unsaved changes, would you like to save them now? Yes/No".
Does anyone else think this would be convenient?

Surprised no one ever suggested this (At least to my knowledge) not being a programmer I don't know how hard it would be to implement but yes, this should be a thing.

not being a programmer I don't know how hard it would be to implement
Probably about five minutes of a programmer's time and a while more for the UI artist, seeing as the "yes" button would be identical in functionality to Customization Complete, and "No" would be identical to the Back button.

I support this.

All my support.

Agreed, but how about it just saving whatever you select, when you switch between classes too

Auto-save sounds even better to me.
(Don't click anywhere, don't get annoying pop-up, every change just sticks.)

Sounds solid, really.
I can imagine making less mistakes with auto-save on and selecting the wrong pieces before the match starts as opposed to forgetting to click Customisation Complete and just clicking back.
Just enabling auto-saving and removing the Customisation Complete button since it's automatic now would be nice.

Auto-save used to be a thing, and you got the opposite issue. You would change, but then decide "nah," only to hit back, get in-game, and you have that "nah" loadout.

This would definitely be my concern. I'd always much rather be using an unintended but effective loadout than get stuck with a bad one at the last minute because enough pilots suddenly readied up without me knowing.
Maybe a pop-up with 5-10 seconds left that locks you out of changes and asks if you want to save?
