Title: Color coded chat
Post by: Demigo on July 24, 2013, 11:18:42 pm
Me and several other players are often having trouble with the voice chat. It is often hard to decipher if someone is using crew, party and even sometimes captain chat! I recommened colot coating each voice chat so that it is easier to tell what chat some one is using. Thank you very much.

I would also like to recomend changing the color of the text chat. It is often hard to read the text chat when in a cloud or looking upward (don't really know how to explain it). I usually have to look down at the deck of the ship or try to get the text to over lap the helm. Simply put the white doesn't work.

If you guys could atleast color coat the voice chat that would ba amazing!

The party voice chat was purple at one point, but something went wrong there. I absolutely agree that the distinction needs to be made.

I know that the text chat is purple but I'm mainly referring to the voice chat. Half the time it is impossible to tell what someone is using unless they tell you.

Yeah, when people talk Smack in the party chat, I sometimes get confused and talk Smack in the lobby chat and insult everyone's mother/girlfriend/daughter/etc. Even just a different icon would be cool. Add a subscript P or something.

I've seen people resorting to the "This is in party chat" preface to whatever they have to say, but that is somewhat annoying. Personally, I never saw the purple audio icon, they've always looked the same for me.
