Good day fellow GoI players! Haven is a multi-gaming group that plays games together on the PC platform. A few of our members purchased Guns of Icarus Online when it first came out last year and we recruited for the game (http://gunsoficarus.com/community/forumarchive/discussion/605/haven-fleet-recruiting-hearty-and-able-bodies/p1) back in October. Unfortunately for several reasons our GoI division never really got off the ground but now Haven is back, stronger than ever and ready to return to the skies once more!

Formed in 2012 as a DayZ clan Haven grew rapidly in to a multi-gaming team. Although initially established as a DayZ team we have since expanded to several other games and are always looking for more games to play together. Guns of Icarus Online is a title that quite a few of our members picked up early on and are now ready to return to. Our members play several other games together so whatever your preferred genres there's a good chance you'll find people to play a game with in our community. Our aim for Guns of Icarus Online is to build a strong, close-knit team that will participate in as many of the community run and official leagues/tournaments as possible. We will be playing to win of course but we're also playing for fun, we're not a rage team so if you're the sort of person who cries over a loss then we're probably not the team for you. We're looking to recruit approximately 16-20 dedicated and active members and establish ourselves as a friendly and active team within the Guns of Icarus community, we're willing to accept members of all skill level as long as they show a willingness to learn and can follow their Captains orders. We're recruiting all roles right now as well. So, to summarise:
- To recruit a good number of dedicated, active members. Approx. 16-20 players (all skill levels and roles accepted)
- To establish ourselves as a friendly and active team within the Guns of Icarus community
- To participate in public matches as a team to brush up our skills and create a fun, friendly environment for our GoI players
- To participate in competitive play such as leagues and tournaments once we have enough members to do so

- 18+ Years of age is preferable though we will consider younger applicants if they can demonstrate a good level of maturity
- Be respectful of other members both within Haven and within any gaming communities where you represent our team
- You must have a working headset and be willing to use our mumble server. We don't bite so there's no reason for you not to get involved with the community
- We don't ask that our members play x amount of hours a day but we do ask that when you're online you do your best to get involved with our community
- If you need to take an extended leave of absence (longer than 1 month) then please alert one of Haven's leaders and you will be placed on our reserves roster until you return
- If you are inactive for longer than 3 weeks without alerting a leader you will be placed on the reserves roster for a period of 1 month before being removed from Haven. If you return and have a good enough reason for your absence then your membership may be re-considered
- Please avoid posting offensive material on the website/forums. Offensive material may include (but is not limited to) pornography, images or videos of violence or any other content that may be considered disturbing or upsetting to an individual

So what are the benefits of joining Haven?

If you're liking the sound of our team and would like to join us then first you will need to register (http://haventeam.net/join-us/join-the-community) to our website. After you have done this you can submit an application (http://haventeam.net/join-us/join-the-team). Once we receive your application we will look over it and if it meets our criteria you will be invited in to mumble for a short informal interview. This interview just allows us to get a feel for you and you for us. After the interview the leaders who conducted it will have a chat and determine if we feel we'd like to approve your application.
If your application is approved and you'd still like to join us you will be accepted on a two week probationary period whereby we'll monitor your activity level and ensure you continue to fit in with the community. After two weeks your membership will be evaluated and either you will either be accepted or declined membership depending on the outcome of your trial period.

Haha, super duper glad. There you go folks ^^ Come and get involved in a growing community. We'll be looking to join the Cogs and other tournaments once we have a few more people. We're still recruiting all rolesbut out Pilot needs are now medium, engi's and gunners are still highly desired.

Just a quick update to say we're now signed up for the Cogs. We'll be playing in week 1 (July 6th) so fingers crossed we'll break through in to the Cogs proper, we certainly believe we have what it takes but there are a lot of good teams out there. Either way good luck to everyone who'll be competing :D We've lowered our demand for Gunners to low, our demand for Pilots to medium and our demand for Engi's remains high.

Just a quick bump. We had a good scrim against the Rugged Men yesterday, was good fun! Looking forward to our first Cogs match this weekend. Still plenty of room so come and get involved :)

Due to a few unfortunate instances of R/L catching up with our members we had to pull out of the Cogs this week but we do plan to return. We're pushing recruitment harder than ever now as we have a solid foundation to build on in GoI but just need a few more members.

Haven is proud to announce that we have formed a coalition with the fantastic Bully Boys/Black Flight Squadron (https://gunsoficarus.com/community/forum/index.php/topic,569.0.html). After unfortunately having to pull out of the Cogs due to a lack of numbers we entered talks with Brick Hardcastle who laid out a very attractive proposition whereby Haven's members would sub in for BFS during this season of the Cogs if needed whilst retaining our independence and continuing to recruit for our own roster. We'll also be entering some tournaments alongside BFS in the future so stay tuned for news on that front!
This arrangement is beneficial to both teams as it provides BFS with an extra reserves roster to call upon when needed, as well as an extra ship or two to enter 3v3's with in the future. Obviously it's great for our guys as it gives them a better opportunity to get in to some matches in the future, we'll also be running some joint practice sessions and events as well.
Haven is still recruiting independently, we're still looking to get our 2v2 roster off the ground so that perhaps we'll be able to enter the Cogs next season, so far we're doing okay with around 8 active GoI players but we still need more so for the time being I'm keeping all role recruitment set to high. We accept all skill levels so whether you're a grizzled vet looking for a change of pace or a newbie looking to learn the game and have a laugh with some great people then come and get involved!

End of the season is still a ways off. I'm sure you guys could get a roster together and get into the newcomers. Hopefully there won't be some terrible patch + server overload like we had to deal with. Good to have you folks aboard!
